Hi Guys, Posting in this thread after ages. I hope all your Zeemaar's are doing fine
Off late riding has drastically reduced for me and has become occasional now. Nevertheless, It's time for another service and for the first time in over 40K kms I wish to try FS oil
I have shortlisted the below 3 FS oils. Let me know which one is the best to use.
Mobil1 FS Engine Oil 10W40
Motul 7100 FS Engine Oil 10W40
Shell Advance FS Engine Oil 10W40
I was thinking of Motul?

Guys facing an issue , its been around 15/20 days that my ZMR is parked as i am out of town , today i took it to ride everything is fine , back to home & washed it & then noted the thing that RPM is not passing 7000 range it itself cut at 7000 & goes to 6000 then reach to 7000 then again cut to 6000
I hold the accelerator steady but its not passing 7k , as my air filter pipe is chewed by mouse so i thought might be water entered in air filter so opened the filter but its dry , no drop of water there .
What will be the issue ? Its just 200 km after replacing Cam & Rocker . Is tappet are over tight ? or the Cam faulty ? Snapped a video showing cut of rpm near 7k & the pipe opening chewed by mouse.

length of 38 smd led is 3.8 cm .Originally posted by rohitsapru View PostOops! As per the seller, the length of 68 led is 4.2 cm. What is the length of the 38 led that you have ?
Yes change that bolt or put fevibond on its unthreaded area which comes in contact in washers / vicers ( whatever those round clips called )Originally posted by 00sanjeev View PostPlease explain in detail
-What rearrangement of washers?
-Where to put fevibond?
-And its a bolt holding the mirror arm right?? where to fit the nut???
I just noticed you are from Pune , was in Pune last week , will meet you when i will be there next time .Originally posted by rohitsapru View Post68 smd led is wow!
When i replaced the stock bulb with led, it was touching the glass. so i just pulled out the rubber holder slightly. then there was some space between led and glass.
The led lights up the ground below and nearby really well. Overall lighting with 55/60 headlight and led parking lights is very good. thanks to Above All for all the information.
Will try to post the pics.
Don't let them touch the glass or they will give burning mark on glass , as i got
( as they won't fitted perfectly inside the rubber holder so they come out from there & when i realised it , it's late they already done the mark on glass . But now changed the terminals of bulb so they are perfect fit )
Ya post pictures .

Good to see you back after a long time, i have used all two of them Mobil FS Engine Oil 10w40 (using currently) and Shell Advance FS Engine Oil 10w40.
1). Shell Advance FS Engine Oil 10w40 :- Good Oil to start with, you will definately feel the difference in acceleration, Engine Noise, Gear Shifting, but as per me wont last more than 4000 kms.
2). Mobil FS 10w40 :- Will rate over the Shell in all respect, last around 5k - 6k,
I need to try for mobil but that will be motul 300v 10w40 is FS or the one you said.Replace the words "I have to" with "I choose to" and notice the difference in how you feel.

Hello everyone,
I rarely visited this portion of the forum except for asking my doubts, my bad!
But I must say, this is one sexy beast.
Monsoons have hit Bangalore and I hate riding in rains because it makes my baby dirty. Moreover, its 17K kms and I'm still running on both stock tires.
Yeah, I know I'm dumb.
I've already had 2 near falls due to the rear slipping in rains, but I guess that's not news. I am used to it. Talked to Satyajit bro and it was so nice. He's a nice gentleman.
Looking forward to a few more conversations with him and others too.
I promise I'll frequent this thread now on.
EDIT - Adding to the existing thread.
What is the correct procedure for cleaning the discs? I mean, some dirt has gone within the brake pads. (front)
It makes a very annoying sound at all times. Its not a constant screeching sound but mostly like this:-
1-20 kmph :- khaaach khaaach khaaach...
20-40 kmph :- khaach khaach khaach...
40-60 kmph :- khach khach khach....
>60 kmph :- khch khch khch....
But the damn thing doesn't vanish. Everyone on the road starts staring at me as if I were riding a death machine.
On applying the front brake, I get a constant screech.
I tried water wash, didn't help.Last edited by Divya Sharan; 07-18-2012, 11:19 AM.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Thanx.Originally posted by Above_All View PostYes change that bolt or put fevibond on its unthreaded area which comes in contact in washers / vicers ( whatever those round clips called )
I found an alternate solution too. No need to change the bolt.
I put two drops of oil on those washers and it worked like a charm
I flex the mirror arm daily and the bolt is intact. It doesn't gets loose and i don't have to tighten it

using it since 2k kilometers and the engine had never been so smooth. gear shifting was never so easy ever before. Getting neutral has also become very easy. cant say how long it will last but I am happy with it

Hello guys. I need to lubricate the chain by myself. Is there any specific product to do this cleaning and lubricating part? and how often do we need to lubricate the chain(when the chain guard is removed and viceversa), are there any specific pointers which indicate the chain needs to be lubricated? please enlighten me.Last edited by blizarder; 07-18-2012, 11:37 AM.

If you visit any SVC they will do the same , will do pressure water wash, nothing else... so go to any garage ask the person to flush the water with full pressure on the disc.....Replace the words "I have to" with "I choose to" and notice the difference in how you feel.

Yes it is Mobil FS 10W40 is the best and it will last for around 6k kms, oil level doesn't drop significantly(you dont need to top up), I've been using this for the past 35k kms on my ZMR, did and do extensive extreme riding, sometimes even 600kms without any break, more than 1200kms a day, at a stretch, and still engine makes the same sound as the first day.. Kudos to Mobil 10W40 FS
Ps: started using this oil after trying Motul FS and Shell FS, after ridden the bike with mineral for the first 4000kms, never dissapointed till, bike ridden for 39k+ kms now!

I suspect overtighten tappets!
Does the engine heat up excessively, then it is an indication of overtighten tappets! Replace the air filter pipe too..
