Just ride the bike at 80% of its capacity and be happy bro!!

Guys, I found a mileage drop.. The bike used to trip for 250 kms for 6 litres ( 500 Rs Shell) of petrol, but now its just giving 190 kms on the trip..

I don't rev the bike like a mad man, I accelerate progressively and shift the gears at 4.5-5k rpm, from the second gear..
Though while braking I do use engine braking a little, not much but little.. Haven't been using engine braking earlier and there was no mileage drop.. Could that be the cause?

Also the chain is lubed properly and the tyre pressure is kept at 29 and 35..

60 kms certainly won't drop due to engine braking. I follow the same (engine braking) and I get 41+ in city. Check over a few more fills. Maybe the petrol pump attendants conned you or maybe the bike needs a service.

No. I didn't get conned. I filled petrol at Shell and I didn't take my eyes off the meter while he was filling, meter showed 5.8 litres, started filling only from zero reading.

Also I had just gotten the bike serviced. Have clocked about 250kms post service.

Btw, forgot to mention it was Shell Super bro.

It happens sometimes. I suppose you calculate the FE from Reserve to Reserve. It is not always that accurate. I usually put 10 litres every time. So the error is reduced to some extent. Even then I have got mileage between 37 and 47 for similar riding styles :-) Maybe next time you will get more.

Maybe bro. But how does humidity come in? You mean, more the humidity, denser the air and tougher to cut through?
I after a long time checked the top speed of my Black Pearl.. i achieved 128 kmph on the speedo and I could have done upto 130 kmph if i didn't have to apply brakes..

on Highways when the road was wide open.. after that I didn't go beyond 110 kmph.. the bike was feeling fine except there were some vibrations here and there once i slowed down.. I believe it is from the broken front fender.. otherwise the engine is lovely and smooth I did 1000 kms in less than 20 days.. 2 Sunday rides to get myself a breather.. one was of 350 kms and the other of 230 kms was riding between 60 - 128 kmph throughout.. mostly above 100s.. didn't check the fuel efficiency.. might have just got some 45 kmpl.. sad but true.. my bike is aging

                        I just love ZMR..

Awesome ride man. I ripped my bike yesterday for the first time revving upto the rev limiter in 2nd, third and 4th gears. Bike felt really smooth after that and obviously the performance was better!

About mileage, 45 is not enough??

Where do you park your baby?? If in direct sunlight, be assured that some amount of petrol has changed it's state. Though not sure whether that will lead to 60Km drop..
By baby is under direct sunlight while I am in office but the mileage drop is about 2-3Km/l maximum...

If not then wait for next fill.

I always use a cover when I park it. Its has a waterproof lining on the outside with a plastic inner lining, hence it doesn't get heated much.. So change of state of petrol as you said is minimal.

P.s (OT) cats keep going inside the cover and camp on the seat scratching it badly.
