But, now after 1300km, it has become rock solid & feels firmly planted on the ground even @ 100+. The bike has become more vibration-free now. But, I wonder if it needed a 6th gear. One can feel too much screaming from the engine @ speeds of 100+. But, thats where the 223cc helps I guess.

Now, it feels like below 90 speeds are puny for this bike. 100+ is where it belongs to. Also, u don't know when u hit those speeds until u see the speedo. But, the ZMR does 115 with ease. After that, It'll take its own sweet time to reach higher speeds. Its like 116...117....118....119... Reached 121 kmph today.

Also, I heard that during cold temp., the bikes power output actually remains unharmed. While during hot temp, the bike's actual power o/p decreases. Is it true? That explains why I'm finding my ZMR to be extra powerful these days.

P.S.: Saw an R15 v2.0 rider stopping his bike on the side of the highway & stretching out his back & neck muscles while I zoomed past him. lol
You are getting addicted to the ZMR's engine....soon you will find other bikes Raw and Ill Mannered......(Except old Ninja 650).In cold climate, the air is dense and so Oxygen level will be higher..., than in higher Temp., which is why the engine feels more power and is smooth.. Check your Tire pressure before any long journey and keep it 1~2 PSi less than recommended, to compensate for tire heating during the run...esp., in Summer months.
The ZMA / ZMR is already over geared in 5th gear at 0.8 , which is why you cannot redline the bike in top gear .

Very true sir. The only bike I felt which made my ZMR sound harsh engine-wise was the Honda Unicorn. It was butter smooth. Don't know if the current Unicorns are as smooth.
Also, I find 4th and 5th as overdrive in the Karizmas. Its awesome pull till 3rd and 4th gets a bit sublime and then 5th is smooth bliss!

Absolutely a point to agree on.. The ZMR sounds harsh at higher RPMs if I am correct where as the Unicorn is butter smooth and the engine noise is very low..

Exactly, I ride my neighbour's CBR250 sometimes. At low speeds I find it to be horrible. The engine sounds terrible (It might be though because it was from the 1st batch in 2010/11, so I'll reserve my comments). I feel the bike is not made for speeds upto 40 kmph. Its for speeds higher than that. But, the CBR 250 acceleration is heavenly & super smooth & must admit way better than ZMR. Engine sound also changes at high speeds & becomes smoother & smoother. Its like it loves higher speeds rather than being stuck @ a lower speed!!! But, ergonomics & comfort-wise wise ZMR is way better. psr sir maybe I'm really getting addicted to iit's (ZMR's) engine!!

& I don't think one can tire oneself due to back pain atleast in ZMR (maybe due to wind-resistance or other reasons but surely not back pain)

If your mech has worked on newer bikes (post 2005, that have discs as standard - pulsars, karizmas etc), he'd be knowing this stuff.

I like to to take a breather every hour on the highway. While the ZMA is very smooth, one tends to lose focus with the constant speed on the highway after a while.
I took psr's advise on my first long trip, stopped every hour for a couple minutes to relax, stretch or have a sip of water, and it's habit now. Of course, different riders might have different endurance points or so. All I'm saying is it's not a bad thing to stop once in a while and smell the daisies (flowers) .

Agreed. At the end, it is not the ride but the rider. I can cruise all day without a break, but my friend cannot ride for a long time. The sitting posture varies from person to person and that is the main reason for back pain. I sit in a relaxed posture having my back bent a little and after some time i keep my back straight. I adjust to what my back needs and i never had a pain during the ride but yes, I do take breaks to cool my ride and at that time, I do stretch myself that would be every 100-120 kms. I don't want to screw my bike of course

Rule of thumb for me:
Whether tired or not, stop for 20 odd mins every 100 kms. Works wonders during long rides of 600+ kms in a day. While others start complaining of this pain that pain after 300-350 kms, I have no such issues due to ample rest every 100 kms and sometimes for photography.

He is hardly 30, so I assume his career might have started around 2005 or later... And AFAIK he is trained from ZRM by HERO (when it was Hero Honda)... I might be thinking too much..

We BLEED the brakes just for this reason. I'm hopefully sure your mech must know this because discs came in early 2000s!
