I took @psr's advise on my first long trip, stopped every hour for a couple minutes to relax, stretch or have a sip of water, and it's habit now. Of course, different riders might have different endurance points or so. All I'm saying is it's not a bad thing to stop once in a while and smell the daisies (flowers) .
I follow the same while traveling from Durgapur to kolkata (165KM), after the 1st of travel I take a breather, tea, samosa, etc, at Shaktigarh (people who stays in West Bengal while know this place) later 1 and half to 2 hrs I drive at a stretch.

But while returning back to Durgpaur I generally drive the full distance at a stretch, as I am in a hurry to have power nap and join office in time .

Great much like my current situation, birthplace is Sindri (near Dhanbad), stays in Durgapur, work place kolkata (just got transferred to Durgapur).... Now my in-laws and others relatives stays in Kolkata... So journey between Dhanbad and Kolkata is common for me..

Update:
I've almost completed 250 km on my new ZMR, and am planning to change the engine oil to Shell Advance AX7 tomorrow, as per psr sir's recommendation. I've bought 2 bottles for Rs 340 each (Pune).
I guess the Hero service center won't entertain me with the oil replacement, so I'm planning to do it myself.
Here are some quick questions:
1. Is there anything special I should keep in mind that the owner's manual doesn't spell out?
2. Do I need any special tool/equipment?
3. The owner's manual says that after draining the oil, the draining cap should be reinstalled with a new 'O' ring. Is it a must really? Does the O ring get damaged while removing the cap?

The Point no:3 is right...you need a new "O" ring for the drain nut every time you undo ,and re-tighten it. Otherwise you will have oil leak.

Do not skip oil change with ASC as they may cancel your warranty for non-compliance...get the oil changed with them, and after getting back home, drain and change to Shell AX7 ,as planned by you... Now The HH bikes come with 5 year warranty, and so make the most of it..Do not postpone or skip any of their mandatory maintenance schedules, since it will be considered as violation against warranty clause....

No no psr Sir, I don't intend to skip the scheduled maintainances with Hero at all, and I have no intention of voiding my warranty!
But the first servicing as per Hero's recommendation is at 500km, while you had suggested to replace the oil with Shell AX7 at 250-300km to clear the initial engine debris. So, I was thinking of doing that oil change at 250Kms (myself) BEFORE taking it to the Hero SVC for the 1st servicing at 500kms.
All I meant was, I think Hero SVC won't entertain replacing the oil with AX7 for me BEFORE the first servicing.
Sorry for not being clearer with my plans in the previous post.

Or, are you suggesting that I should go for the first servicing now only, at only 250 km?
If I do it myself, or get it done by a local mech, I'll have to get the O ring from Hero...
From what you are saying, it appears that I'll have to pay twice for the oil everytime I get the bike serviced at the Hero SVC

As per the manual, oil is to be changed at every alternate service.
SO what I suggest you is - Change the oil now with OE Hero 4T 10W30 (made by tide water) and use it till 1st service (upto 750Kms on odo or 60 days whichever is earlier).
In 1st service they will use oil from barrel, drain that oil after 300kms ie. at 1000kms on odometer and fill Shell AX7 and use it for next 1800kms. ie upto 2800 ~3000 kms on odo.

In between 1st and second service, if your odo crosses 3000kms, change the oil with AX7.

In 2nd service(3500kms or 100 days from previous service), ask them not to change the oil as it is not mentioned in the manual.

This way you will be paying for the oil twice, only every alternate service. I am following this since the barrel oil they fill at ASC is BP Mak 10W30.

Guys, today while I started the engine a few drops of water and oil dropped from the silencer. There's a tiny hole underneath it rite. From there. I clicked the pics to show you guys just in case if it is not normal.

When I bent down to check, the underbelly of the engine is covered with oil. And oil level has dropped significantly.

Hole in exhaust is normal. All bikes have it.

For the oil leakage from engine's underbelly, get your bike foam cleaned completely, i.e; open all plastic parts and make it a ZMA. Remove the air filter for safety. Now wash the entire bike properly. Shampoo works well. Take a hard bristle toothbrush and apply some toothpaste (not the gel ones - use colgate/normal pepsodent). Now use this brush to wash the engine and radiator. Be patient and work slowly.

P.S - Remove as much grime as possible before doing the pepsodent thingy.
P.P.S - Do it yourself. Nobody would be as patient. Moreover, they rarely wash the engine.
P.P.P.S - Avoid spraying water near the spark plug area.
P.P.P.P.S - Do a bucket wash this time. At least for the engine area.

Finally, before you do this; wait for a day for seniors' advice. Anyways, weekends next!

After all of that, ride it for a good 100 odd kms in the weekend and check for fresh leakage and post pics. Who knows how old these oil stains are!

Nicely explained bro. Shall do the same. Have you noticed that there is an empty hole where a screw is supposed to be there? Is it missing or is there not supposed to be any screw? Check it in this pic its a bit clear. You can see the threads which means there is supposed to be a screw there.
