Ive had similar issues but during the rains....water entering the fuel tank and my bike stalling all of a sudden. Then after a few mins it used to start and work properly. This is usually due to debris like mud and stuff entering the fuel tank. The fuel filter and the fuel pump can be easily cleaned, i clean it myself but i have efficient practise regarding the same coz ive done it for many frens of mine...!! its a complicated job...not coz it is hard...but the fuel pump is expensive. Simple procedure You have to remove all the fuel in the tank with a help of a pipe...then the seat....then the left side panel tucked under the seat...loosen the fuel tank a little from the main bolt attached to the main chasis under the seat. Disconnect the two fuel pipes connecting the fuel pump( remove all connections)...then with 10 number T-Spanner unbolt the fuel pump from the bike...it will be a little diffucult to remove...you may have to stretch the left fairing a little to the outer side to remove it and pull the fuel tank a little to the upeer side. Once it is out....it is supported with a fiber body...under which there is a silver metal body pump. Clean it with petrol properly....then next comes the fuel filter.....it is the small black rubber covered gadget that can be seen from the slit of the front left fairing in between the tank. it has its connection direct to the tank and the next to the fuel pump. the connection to the fuel pump has already been removed...so you need to remove the connection to the fuel tank. It is difficult to reach...to reach it easily you have to remove the whole left front fairing...but now thats more difficult...so try to insert ur hand and get the connection removed. Now you can clean the fuel filter with petrol and air pressure....do not tap it on ground to get the mud removed...it may damage it...!! once done with everything.....connect all the gadgets as removed...be sure with connections once you do them.....Connect it...!! Now you may also clean the fuel tank with a cloth and a big screwdriver (the desi style) be carefull with the fuel gauge level rod inside the fuel tank....!! once done...fill in clean petrol....wait for 5 mins....insert the key and press the ignition...!! Voila.....keep the engine idle for a 10 mins....!!! this should solve your issue....!!
Along with it you may also clean air filter..that is connected under a black panel at the same side of the bike...!! DO NOT WASH IT!!!! just clean it with air pressure...!!!
PS: Preferably take it to the SVC or any reputed mechanic to get this done...the intention of this post is not to encourage you guys to try it at home..but to give you information so you know what is being done when the Mechanic is doing it...!!!
Cheers....!!

Hey Hi brother,Originally posted by Praj zm View Postcongrats dude
what are the things which needs to be taken care after completing 11,000kms since i am giving the bike for service
and can you please provide me the exact product name of the spark plug with spec.
The service and maintenance of a bike largely depends on riding style of the rider...!! but as you have completed 11,000 kms the basic things that i can suggest are:
- check the break pads...both front and rear....Front wears out more quickly( depends on riding style again)
-Engine oil...as per the last change or kilometers traveled( stock oil lasts good till around 1000-1500 kms)
-Break oil top up for both front and rear disks.
-Chain cleaning- even if zmr has a closed type of chain console...still dust and dirt make a way into it...and as its just the end of monsoon..its better to get it cleaned and lubricated. Also the chain setting to be checked for extra play.
- Fairing screws to be tweeked.- this should be a regular service action. As zmr being a fully faired bike...the screws tend to loosen after a bumpy ride so a tweek at regular intervals keeps rattling away...
Those were the basic checks to be done. There are a few more checks that you can undergo.....but these are fully dependent on the riding style...as in in ordinary course of riding they wont wear out at 11,000kms:
- Suspension check...for oil seal
- Chain sprokets wear out
-And alloys to be checked for damage and alignment.
I am sorry i dont have much knowledge on the spark plug front of it...but the stock ones are either NGK-DPR 8EA 9 or Champion PRA 7HC..these are the brands that Hero uses. I have heard a lot about the NGK iridium...but havent tried it as of now...so cant comment much on it...:-)
The above stated tweeks are the best according to my increasing knowledge....there might be many more suggestions that our brothers at xbhp can give which we all can incorporate.

Surely brother.....Now that you have an open chain that is exposed to dust n mud...u need to keep it well lubricated..!!Originally posted by Praj zm View Postthanks a lot dude
can you tell the steps for cleaning chain using kerosene or diesel
and i have removed the chain cover
Things u will need:
- A small bowl
-Kerosene/diesel.
- used tooth brush or New one if u like :-)( But avoid using tooth brush that has previously been used to clean the chain)
-WD40/Zorric (any anti rust spray)
-Specialised Chain lubricant spray ( Motul has one)...i Usually apply grease.
Steps:
-Put your bike on the main stand.
- Now that you have your chain cover already open...lets get to work:
-Take some Kerosene in the bowl....dip the tooth brush in it and clean the chain as you clean ur teeth...:-). slowly and gently to remove all the muck and the greasy stuff on ur chain....
- clean your chain sprocket in the similar fashion...the whole chain console should be cleaned with kerosene in a similar fashion.
- Once done your chain should look like a complete dry thing...without any lubricant on it...!!
- now there are chances that the chain may have little rust patches....so spray the anti rust thoroughly...and wait for a few minutes...!!
- Now once again clean the chain with toothbrush and kerosene to remove all the rust that must have got loosened coz of the anti rust.
- Now ask some one to put weight on the front wheel so that the rear wheel goes arial..start the engine and change to the first gear...leave the clutch....your rear wheel should have started rotating...!! slowly on the chain sprocket spray the lubricant till the whole chain makes atleast 2-3 rotations/ If your using grease...then before starting the engine...use your finger to apply grease in the chain buckles ( not each and every buckle...it will take hours..) just here and there at regular intervals...then start the engine and again...take some grease on your finger...and CAREFULLY touch the finger to the chain sprocket where the chain is moving...!!(NOTE: do not do it from the lower side of the chain....ur finger may get pulled into the sprocket.....) do it from the upper side of the chain...the one facing the rear mudguard...!! (Please be very carefull..(Another safer option is: not to start the engine...keep the bike in neutral and move the wheel by ur hand apply the grease...)
-Once when the application is done....keep turning your wheel (Manually or through the gear shift to first gear with engine on)...so that the lubricant gets evenly spread...
- That's it.......Youre done....your bike is ready for a spin..!!
Note: I have never used any kind of chain lubricating spray and only use grease...but ive heard that grease is more prone to attract to dust and muck..but it doesnt matter i have the chain covered.....)
Also for owners who have their chain covers...after you remove your chain covers...also thoroughly clean the chain covers from the inside....it is more dirty than the chain itself...!! and avoid using any kind of OIL to lubricate the chain...it usually gets off while the chain moves...!! ( SVC guys use used engine oil to lubricate the chain as a part of their regular servicing procedure)
Thats it guys....!!!
PS: The above mentioned procedure is the way i do it....And it may not be the only way..But i have been doing it for my bike as well as all my fren's bikes also...and till date no issues..:-)

and i have read in many threads that we have to rotate the wheel manually by our hand.
no matter how careful you are ,avoid rotating the wheel by accelerating while applying grease or lubricant.
