they are trying to follow the success story of BAJAJ-KTM !! but its very difficult coz they are giving away an 390cc monster at a price of just 2lakhs !! and i tell yu the price of largely
hyped FULL-FAIRED Pulsar 375cc to be just around 1.5-1.7 laks !! and Our HERO would jus be introducing a 250cc bike when the segment itself would be under scrutiny !

so unless they give a GEM of a bike in a very LESS price, they would be surely Kicked hard !!

Maybe.. but I would like to second that.. People prefer faired bike over Naked bikes.. so If I were to choose between the KTM Duke 390 and the Hero 250 cc.. i would prefer the Hero.. reason.. faired.. now you might say Pulsar is coming up with 375cc and it will cost just 1.5 to 1.7.. point accepted but the factor still remains on the quality of Bajaj and it spare parts.. if they are going to offer the Duke 390 faired version as rumored next year.. then I would settle with it no problem if its gonna cost me extra 20000 - 30000/- it will be a complete package.. well.. my point here is.. not everyone will go for Pulsars and Dukes.. people who don't have that extra 20000/- or 30000/- won't go for the Duke and same goes with Pulsar 375.. instead if Hero prices this beast within 1,20,000/- then for sure the bike will have demands Just hoping the bike looks sexy and awesome..

It surely won't cost 1.2L bro. Keep 1.5 L as a more realistic price. Keep in mind that TVS 250, Yamaha R25, Triumph 250 are in the pipeline as well. Plus CBR 250R would take the hit and not 250cc segment. We have buyers for every single product out there, however niche the segment be!

hm ok but yu must hav noticed the recent launches of BAJAJ, i mean they hav notched up the quality of their bikes to next level especially with the parternership of KTM,, we al saw the reviews of 200ns and Discover 125st they r just outstanding ! And duke wont anytime launch a 390 Faired one,, they are in talks only about a 250 Faired bike ! so coming to P375 and HERO 250,, c'mon bro anyone would borrow from the neighbourhood to shell the extra 20k-30k to jump to a bike which has 20 more BHP !!!

but HERO could crack this theory and influence the market if it suddenly comes up with a 300cc !! lets see wat awaits in future..

@psr sir, this is what I removed from the AF box. Sound is still the same. Do I need to remove something else too?

Now, coming to rear tire, not many options available here. PSD rocks, but I'm looking at alternatives as well.

Saw 2 tires, one in stock size (MRF Meteor) and one 110 mm profile (Zapper Q).
            Any idea on these guys?

Looks are subjective....but there's a big BUT here. I find the KTM naked bikes hideous. If someone can pay for a KTM 390, why won't he pay for a Kawasaki Ninja 250/ 300? Even the cruisers from KTM look weird. Not worth the money, but that's my opinion. That said, top up our very own ZMR with a fatter rear tyre, split seats, and inverted front forks.......It would beat the competition any day. Picture that!!

About the new HERO bike...let's just pray that the parts from the new one are a direct fit on the ZMR

              Past: Yamaha Enticer

You may call me nuts but I find Inazuma 250 and Mojo just a notch below in beauty w.r.t Duke cousins. Duke looks weird in a good way, the other 2 --> in a bad way.

Yuck. I hate duke. Specially after riding it. A friend if mine commented that pillion and rider positions are as if they are in a hurry to pee! Sitting erect and all..

the part is correct...by removing this you will moderately increase the air flow into the Air Box.....but this will not give exact same sound of a K&N because it is an open air filter...Since you know the down side of K&N this is the better alternate...otherwise you must do the mod like me and fit a Zen MPFi air filter for more air, into the inlet...

Hmm. Is presume this is called Snorkel. More air flow means dirty AF. I'm not going the K&N way. AF is only 5k kms old, hence half life still left. MPFi Filter will have to wait. Lets see if it gives even a little more sound while high speed riding (read over 60 kmph).

I checked for wheel bends, and found there was none, any way, when I kep my bike in the central stand and rotated the wheel, rear was running good, but front had some hickups in between, like applying the brakes very slightly.

Also after the incident I can feel that there is heavy vibration in the front.

And now the surprize problem. My exhaust note got changed
It is like a splender when it is revved hard
Feel like, something is stuck inside the exhaust. It happens on high revv. donno y

pls help me... esp d exhaust issue
There are joints near to horn area...if you see from front of headlight....if they get loose or joints get broken then it will make irritating sound....and the problem is to fix it whole fairing need to open with headlight...i too facing this issue but because of whole fairing need to open...not able to get it fixed...need time....

Now, the note of exhaust has nothing do with what seems to have happened but it could be that the exhaust seal could have loosened at the head end.. check it out.. in the sense, the clamp and bolt that hold the exhaust to the head

now coming to the front tire.. did you rotate it in the forward direction or backward direction? if moved backward, it will tend to have that kinda behavior... or due to the impact, probably the wheel bearing might have got hit..

front fender? well, best thing to do is to get it a sticker job unless you have some cash to shed out..

the gap near the headlight?? can you put more light into it?? in the sense take a pic and upload so that we will have a better idea..

I kinda like the Inazuma 250.. it looks pretty neat after seeing the bike for few times.. not the appearance that a person will like on first go.. but it will be a head turner and now coming to the mojo i like this one to.. its so unique in terms of looks and appearance.. that bike will be an alien in India

Duke.. I love the looks of the bike.. but i am more turned towards the full faired.. and I will never have that much money to go for a Ninja 300 unless I find a friend who will lend me money and I can pay him/her in installments dreaming about it

I sure hope the New 250 from hero is powerful enough.. hope they don't disappoint me with the specs like they did with the ZMR where i expected about 20-22 bhp raw power.. no matter.. I am still a happy owner of the ZMR and would love to go for the fully faired bike from Hero if its worth it but the Duke 390's specifications keeps pulling me towards it

One Simple Question : Wil you or will you not Buy a ZMR if its sold at 50 or 60K ? Leave the technicalities apart(Inline Twin/Slipper clutch etc etc blah blah). Same thing has happened with the launch of the D390. More Power, less price, less spending on the maintenance and spares compared to the Ninja.

He probably meant competition within its class.. reducing the weight of the bike would do some wonders in ZMR.. beefier tires will just reduce the performance.. removing fairing will improve the city ride.. etc etc.. split seats will only reduce the comfort if you ask me.. inverted forks will be cool..

if they had brought the impulse with a higher cc like the Karizma's engine.. that would have been awesome if you ask me.. besides. everything is pure opinion.. what a person likes might not be liked by another person.. simple as that..

That said, top up our very own ZMR with a fatter rear tyre, split seats, and inverted front forks.......It would beat the competition any day. Picture that!!

About the new HERO bike...let's just pray that the parts from the new one are a direct fit on the ZMR
