Updates first:

Got my ride back. Fully functional. In fact I'd disconnected the buzzers from my indicators. Felt sweet hearing beep sound again.
BTW, my mech says that the full wire kit retails for 2k. Can someone confirm?

----------
Now, jammbuster, GC in ZMR is 159mm. That's quite high. In fact, its higher than ZMA's 150mm GC! To give you a clear picture, RTR has 165mm GC, so 159mm in ZMR is too good. But, yes you'll scrape your main stand on ugly speed bumps. The fairing is strong, won't crack easily.
Switch gear is of good quality, may act once in a while during rains though. Just zorrick it once.

And yes, it has all those sensors it claims to have. A few complained about the bank angle sensor not working in the initial days, but now people who crashed claim that they indeed felt that the sensors worked in stopping the engine within 45 seconds.
PGM-Fi would ensure, you don't lose sleep on petrol expenses. All w.r.t ZMR.

ZMA-R is a great buy as well. Its a tourers' delight.

Hold on bro, low clearance on zmr? You've ever ridden a p220? The main stand keeps kissing the hump when you have a pillion. I've ridden it and trust me the gc in zmr is much much better. And sensor works fine. Bank angle sensor I mean. And other sensors cannot be monitored afaik. They have to work, else your bike starts behaving strange even if one does not work. Plus I've never come across people who have faced this issue. Coming to fibre part, it's pretty durable. Many people have had their falls here and you can ask them for the fibre quality.

ZMR GC is good enough for the Indian roads.. I used to be scared that its low.. but it isn't... I sometimes go up the middle barriers on the NH24 to cross the road and the barriers are pretty high for a bike. and the plastic quality I wouldn't say great but yes.. it is tough enough to bear a fall.. I fell down twice on my bike.. once because of my stupidity and second because of a biker who came inbetween.. 3rd time she fell down herself because of loose mud in side stand.. and the fairing took big hit.. i was worried and only things that happened were the indicator got scratched along with the side of the fairing.. so if you ask me.. its pretty strong.. but the quality isn't too good in few places like the visor screw hole on the fairing broke on my ZMR and i am using a bigger washer to hold it together..

A P220 has that flaw.. the main stand hits the road and thats a major drawback which makes you lose confidence during a cornering..

ZMA-R is a pretty good buy

No ground clearance problem as such. And for sensors - no need to worry....Hero is offering 5 year warranty on its bikes

Hi

Good to be back here again

Thanks a lot for Divya Sharan rreneav1987 & psr sir for their suggestions to prevent the air leakage from my both tires of ma ZMR . As suggested i checked the tires with soap water application and found leak in my front tire and but didn't find any leakage in the rear tyre so i went with slime application on front tire and problem got rectified . But as far as my rear tire is concerned i checked for RIM bend at Tyre showroom n air leak test at service centre but couldn't find the source of leakage . So frustrating SVC guys say since they cant find any problem with RIM they cant replace it even though it is in warranty . . Only option left is to get new alloy n tire using my insurance policy as the this new set costs nearly 10000 INR

Glad to hear that the problem is resolved with the front tire.. why didn't you do the same with the rear tire.. my front tire too didnt have any mark of leakage.. but after applying that solution.. it was fine.. its worth a try befire replacing the tire and alloy

Thanks for finding out the price bro. I haven't yet got the kit installed. Its still with the mech, he has put new sturdy wires in my bike for the time being.
Cost me 2050 rupees overall.

In the worst case, buy yourself CBZ Xtreme's (2011 model) alloys. Costs 3k rupees. Same design and make as Karizma.

umm.. I don't think that is going to work.. as the rear set for the ZMR comes with the Disc setup.. lets not forget

If in case anything happens with my alloy wheels... i am going to shift over to 17" alloys.. reason.. many tire options are available.. yes.. the ground clearance will reduce by an inch.. but the tire options for 18" is very limited.. that too Tubeless tires...

Xtreme comes with a disc setup as well. Also, never think of downsizing to 17 inchers. It will destroy all ergonomics and handling.

Well.. yes.. but are you sure its gonna cost 3000??

they tire availability for 18" is very less.. unable to find good tires other than the PSD which is a bit costly

18" tyres availability and options are very less specially in TL....all companies now moving to 17"

Read in previous month Bike India magazine....MRF MoGrip now available in 110/90 18" for bullet....

Yes. Phanikar sir did the same with his ZMA. Thereafter I enquired about the disc setup for ZMR as well. With a little bit of pain (read, some tiresome job fitting Xtreme's rear assembly) it can be done.
