LOl, coming to think of it, after returning home today evening I noticed the smell of Yamalube burning, I assumed it to be the oil I've accidentally spilled onto the crank case. Anyways will be taking the bike to hostel tomorrow, will post the final report in a week.

Edit => Here's the original post by veryhiphop.

I choose this oil because firstly it is of same grade been used in HM bikes...and secondly earlier i have used the YamaLube SS and EOD which resulted in oil leakage in my ZMR...so i decided not to experiment with oil grade...

      1. Riding has become very smooth; which i was missing in my ZMR. On accelerating the sound of engine is now much smother.

      2. Gears shifting not smooth just a little improvement which is hardly noticeable.

      3. Read that FS oil observes the engine heat; could not find that may be in Delhi weather is cooler now as winter are starting...

      4. Price 504 for 1 Ltr. Not yet checked for oil level will do so as ZMR engine oil capacity is of 1.3 Ltr. If required will top-up.

Those who are looking for good FS oil can try this oil. It is really a good engine oil. Will check how long (KM) it last in my ZMR and specially in terms of engine smoothness.

Removing chain guard is problem in maintaining the chain...every week you need to lubricate it...i have removed the same earlier...but after 2 months ...rollback...

              Pirelli SD 110/90-18
              Sirac 120/80-18
Dunlop Monster 130/70-18 or 130/80-18,Forgot the exact size.

IMO stick to 110 max. or Sirac 120
What does 80...90 70..means?...18 i am alloy size...

Basically the earlier MICHELINs & PIRELLIs used to come in INCHES while MRFs in MILIMETRES.

Had an extensive study on these when I changed my Tyres of ZMR.
Using Michelin M62 @ Front & Michelin M45 @ Rear but both Tubes!!!

Just a brief note on Tyres.

                    Simply Sidewall of the tire.

its not so simple like that.

its the aspect ratio of sidewall height to the width of the tire.

An example will better explain like if tire says 130/70 18
130 is width of tire in mm
70 means the sidewall height is 70% of 130 which in this case would be 91mm
18 is diameter of alloy in inches

                      • An year is over

                        Heloo everyone.

Companionship of my ZMR with me is an year old now. Yes the first anniversary.. 29 of jan.. The rides went by smooth and smoother.. luckily did not had any major accidental events.. but surely had some memorable long rides.

Commuting daily I completed 12000 kms. talking of mileage.. i have maintained a solid log of fuel consumption.. do hav a look..
Click here to follow[Google Docs link]

I observed that mileage is very dependent on the way u ride and also on the place and traffic u ride. can never say exactly how much it wud be.
                        I am getting ~43km/Liter

Please do have a look at sheet i shared. there are more sheets for service, purchases, and bike details but haven't published them to web.
I had this idea of maintaining log since before i bought my ZMR but when i talked to satyajitrc.. he already had made similar sheet
satyajit da. pls share urs too

                          • I noticed one stage thing in your log-
Your mileage was more than 45 when you filled more than 12 liters of fuel. Maybe due to lesser evaporation of fuel ?

since its an height...will less height tyre i.e. 120 x 70 can be put into ZMR without any modification?...i assume only the width is not allowing to have a tyre above 100 without modification...
