yeah its also having a great performance on/off road..I had two options in my mind Pirelli Sports Demon & Michelin Sirac, i went for Sirac as i had to go to Chakrata after Dehradun & Pirelli is of soft compound so i wanted that tyre which could hold the surface better off tarmac as well so i had to go for Sirac only & m so happy for my decisionOriginally posted by Aneesh@4GHz View Post

Had read in the tyre thread that sirac is heavier then other tyres... did you feel any change in acceleration or top end? please give FE figures after few Hundred kms on sirac. Are you using it TT or TL? and last what is the price you paid for it?Originally posted by 111diablo111 View Postyeah its also having a great performance on/off road..I had two options in my mind Pirelli Sports Demon & Michelin Sirac, i went for Sirac as i had to go to Chakrata after Dehradun & Pirelli is of soft compound so i wanted that tyre which could hold the surface better off tarmac as well so i had to go for Sirac only & m so happy for my decision

I am using Sirac 120/80-18 and yes it does rubs a bit when you carry a pillion above 60kgs

if there is no issue with other electrical connections and the bike isn't making the self noise either then there should be an issue with the battery or the self starter switch.... I faced issue with the starter switch in beginning when i bought my ZMR.... it has to be either the starter switch or the battery... My bike's head light and indicators were working fine as well... now after changing the battery.. only horn isn't working...Originally posted by 111diablo111 View Postmy bike didn't show any other sign of weak battery like horn is working perfectly n loud enough, headlight is sharp as it was earlier, clock is functioning properly & so do the meter..don't know what he prob was

will get that checked after diwali now...
Checked with the Amaron Dealer here in Gurgaon... he said Amaron doesn't manufactures batteries with ZMR's configuration..Originally posted by veryhiphop View PostHave you checked for Amaron....

Finally I figured out what really caused the engine heat after a thorough check, it is the AFR ratio..
Service checked all the parts including razors, valves but nothing is the culprit, but the AFR ratio.. My bike giving me a milage of almost 50kmpl (and the color of spark plug is a little whiter indicating lean mixture)so the overhating is due to less fuel in the cumbustion chamber..
But sadly, service ppl refuse to accept that bike is overheating because everything works perfectly and refuse to tune the engine to a slightly more richer AFR. Probably they don't know how to do it, and they insist that lean mixture doesnt overheat the engine..
So still Im runnig with the stock AFR which tuned lean to get more milage.. Can anyone tell me how to tune the PGM-Fi of ZMR to a slightly richer mixture coz I''m gonna do it for myself..Last edited by Dan_GP; 10-25-2011, 08:33 PM.

IMHO AFR mixture cant be altered in case of ZMR-FI which is made by "keihin" and the AFR is automatically decided by Oxygen sensor in the bike.So if ur getting the lean mixture better ask the service center guys to check the functioning of the O2 sensor.I think its the culprit if your bike is running lean.Originally posted by Dan_GP View PostFinally I figured out what really caused the engine heat after a thorough check, it is the AFR ratio..

ZMR waiting period in Chennai?
Hey guys!
Does anyone know about the waiting period for a ZMR, in Red, in Chennai?
I have been thinking of replacing my ageing, rattly 5 year old P150 with a ZMR for commuting to the office. Will not be opting for finance, and would prefer paying the entire amount all together.
Any info in this regard will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Btw fellow Xbhpians, wish you all a very Happy and Safe Deepawali

I am using it TL..i found pickup of my bike got increasedOriginally posted by siddharth_ZMR View PostHad read in the tyre thread that sirac is heavier then other tyres... did you feel any change in acceleration or top end? please give FE figures after few Hundred kms on sirac. top end decreased a bit though but i don't think that its because of tyre as i felt this on stock tyre as well, i'll change clutch plates & acceleration wire as they are 20k kms old & then will re-post my experience..as of now this tyre is performing great & its grip is awesome on & off road..
Originally posted by Mzee_Maverik View Postbro whats the size of the sirac? if 120 then is it rubbing on the swing arm's inner wall under load or heavy load?ya its a Sirac street of same 100 section but it certainly looks much wider then the stock Zapper as you can check in pic too & I could have gone for 120 section tyre too but as Shreeni mentioned that might cause trouble as well as i felt it'll drop the performance & mileage as well..Originally posted by Shreeni0403 View PostThat looks like Sirac Street which is the stock size 100/90-18
