Yep, exactly, but I am talking about the situation where only the sensor detached from the fairing and still the fairing is not removed from the bike, and the wires are still connected with fairing and the sensor too, you cannot start the bike.. It is nothing to do with the current, but it is with the angle of the sensor. Hope you got it

Yep, I removed the fairing for myself and refit again due to rattling noise. Got the noise rectified, but just happened to remove the sensor beside the headlight just to check the sensor coz that makes a huge vibrating noise due to a loose magnet inside it(as per service).

And after removing it from the fairing only, not disconnecting it from the wiring, just removed it from the fairing bolts only, and then try to strart the bike and it just didn't start, crank happened but didn't start..

So I think you are refering to the same sensor.. But I doubt that is the bank angle sensor.. What is that sensor anyway??

I done it twice , follow this simple steps
1) Remove the lower fairing first . Total 16 nuts/screws
2) Remove the black fiber parts covering meter console. Total 6 nuts/screws
3) Now remove the main front fairing , Total 2 nuts of 10 number & some packing can't remember exact number . & connectors for sensors , ignition lock/key assembly

I removed the fairing twice & all things 1 time to see the complete chasis / body



Don't place cycle tube rubbers in screws , just check the rubber packing at tanks in which fairing fits . If they are not there purchase them from ASc ( same for all HH Bike's )



one day at asc the mechanic after removing the fairing ridden the bike to test some things & the bike runs fine except the thing PGM FI lights is blinking . No starting problem or anything .



It is in front fairing .



Without the front fairing my bike started fine & ridden by HH mechanic .

Got the 4 Digit kms once again on my ZMR ....

i have used a variety of engine oils in my zmr now ill give you the list preference wise:
from best to worst:
1: Shell advance AX7 10w40 (SS)
2: Gulf Pride 4T plus 20w40 (mineral)
3: HH 4T plus 10w30 (Stock mineral)
4: Motul 5100 15w50 (SS)
5: Motul 300v 15w50 (FS)
6: castrol power1 15w40 (SS)

Details:
1: Shell advance AX7: It is semi-synthetic and the grade is 10w40 and by far is the best engine oil i have ever used. it resulted in smoother engine and good gear shift(not the best). currently using this engine oil and life is around 2k kms. cost 280rs/l

2: Gulf pride 4T plus: By far the best mineral oil i have ever used in my ZMR. Rating is 20w40 and made engine smooth and gear shift was best with this oil. life is around 1.5k kms. cost 200rs for 900ml

3: HH 4T plus: yes you are right it is the stock oil of hero honda with the rating 10w30. nothing special to write about and the life is 1k kms.


4: Motul 5100: the most popular semi-synthetic oil among pulsarians and it is good for them but not so good for ZMR at 15w50. i have toured uttarakhand on this oil and used it for 1450kms approx though on return journey the gearshift became notchy and loss of pickup from very first day.
cost 450rs/l

5: Motul 300v: frankly i have wasted my 875 bucks on this oil. it made engine smooth no doubt and amazingly engine was not getting heat up but after a tour of about 300kms gear became notchy and smoothness gone to hell then rode another 100kms then got oil changed. it may be good but not for our ZMR as initial pickup died.

6: Castrol power1: one word PATHETIC. dont know why people use this oil. worst engine oil used so far, lasted for 700kms rating was 15w40 and cost 300 approx for 1100ml.

My Review on Honda CBR 250 FS oil (10w30) on 600 KM:

I choose this oil because firstly it is of same grade been used in HM bikes...and secondly earlier i have used the YamaLube SS and EOD which resulted in oil leakage in my ZMR...so i decided not to experiment with oil grade...

1. Riding has become very smooth; which i was missing in my ZMR. On accelerating the sound of engine is now much smother.

2. Gears shifting not smooth just a little improvement which is hardly noticeable.

3. Read that FS oil observes the engine heat; could not find that may be in Delhi weather is cooler now as winter are starting...

4. Price 504 for 1 Ltr. Not yet checked for oil level will do so as ZMR engine oil capacity is of 1.3 Ltr. If required will top-up.

Those who are looking for good FS oil can try this oil. It is really a good engine oil. Will check how long (KM) it last in my ZMR and specially in terms of engine smoothness.

This is the sensor I was referring to. If you just remove it from the fairing ONLY, you cannot start the bike.. Hope everyone got it So I just wodering whether this is the bank angle sensor or experts, please explain what sensor is this??

I think opening bolt does not make any difference in starting..its only on the disconnect of connector from sensor will not work...

Ok, first remove the 6 nuts around the console area, (you see the bike as the picture in my previous post), then just remove the indicated bolts(WITHOUT touching anything else means NOT even touching the connectors/wires), and hold the said sensor in your hands then try to start the bike and see..

If its a Bank angle sensor ( I guess it is ) then after removing it from its position its angle changes & it serves its purpose of engine off , & not letting bike start .
By the way do you know why there are 2 small pipes ? check the area marked in attached picture . The pipes are on both sides of the meter console.
