About Insurance Claim
Hey guys,
Can anyone tell me about the Insurance claim and how much will I get on the fibre parts....
I am planning to take a claim for the entire plastic parts on the bike as I had a fall last month... No major issues... but there are scratches on the right side.... the guy at the SVC said it can be replaced under claim... rest i couldn't get anymore details.... But I think i'll get 50% on plastic parts...
Can anyone tell me if anyone has changed the front part completely????
If yes, then how long did it take the SVC guys to change it and the cost involved???
SVC guys told me that the entire front part will be for 8K and the back plastic part (the one below the seat) is for 2600....
Please let me know guys...PEACE!!!!\/
RESPECT!!!!

As pet the bill...i assume body parts whole fairing and side parts shall come under 7000 Rs...50% can be claimed under insurance...so approx 4000 need to pay includes labor...

Had this accident resulted in 2012 I am sure I would have paid 1000 INR at most since almost all are covered ICICI Lombard Insurance.Originally posted by veryhiphop View PostAs pet the bill...i assume body parts whole fairing and side parts shall come under 7000 Rs...50% can be claimed under insurance...so approx 4000 need to pay includes labor...
Besides have an excellent rapport now with my SVC!!!
Although prices have increased and rationally all fibre parts would cost around 9000 INR.
Even the Labour Cost is also paid by Insurance Companies.34567 kms and ZMR sold :(

Engine Oil Reviews
Any Reviews on this Engine Oil as I am not getting the Shell Advance AX7Originally posted by Mzee_Maverik View PostBest to Worst:
1: Shell advance AX7 10w40 (SS)
2: Gulf Pride 4T plus 20w40 (mineral)
3: HH 4T plus 10w30 (Stock mineral)
4: Motul 5100 15w50 (SS)
5: Motul 300v 15w50 (FS)
6: castrol power1 15w40 (SS)
Details:
1: Shell advance AX7: It is semi-synthetic and the grade is 10w40 and by far is the best engine oil i have ever used. it resulted in smoother engine and good gear shift(not the best). currently using this engine oil and life is around 2k kms. cost 280rs/l
2: Gulf pride 4T plus: By far the best mineral oil i have ever used in my ZMR. Rating is 20w40 and made engine smooth and gear shift was best with this oil. life is around 1.5k kms. cost 200rs for 900ml
3: HH 4T plus: yes you are right it is the stock oil of hero honda with the rating 10w30. nothing special to write about and the life is 1k kms.
4: Motul 5100: the most popular semi-synthetic oil among pulsarians and it is good for them but not so good for ZMR at 15w50. i have toured uttarakhand on this oil and used it for 1450kms approx though on return journey the gearshift became notchy and loss of pickup from very first day.
cost 450rs/l
5: Motul 300v: frankly i have wasted my 875 bucks on this oil. it made engine smooth no doubt and amazingly engine was not getting heat up but after a tour of about 300kms gear became notchy and smoothness gone to hell then rode another 100kms then got oil changed. it may be good but not for our ZMR as initial pickup died.
6: Castrol power1: one word PATHETIC. dont know why people use this oil. worst engine oil used so far, lasted for 700kms
rating was 15w40 and cost 300 approx for 1100ml.
Logically the Honda 10W30 Synthetic Engine Oil was not upto my liking.
Used HH Tide Water Oil 10W30 Mineral Oil for 10950 Kms (Rs 200 for 0.9L)
Then used Motul 15W50 Semi Synthetic Oil for 8560 Kms (Rs 430 for 1.0L)
Then used Honda 10W30 Synthetic Oil for 3300 Kms (Rs 504 for 1.0L)
Planning to switch to Shell Ultra 10W40 Synthetic (Rs 745 for 1.0L)
Getting now for Rs 500 with a dealer discount.34567 kms and ZMR sold :(

However in Claim, I got the complete fairing replaced with a brand new one. So, AFAIK there should not be any issues in getting the entire set replaced.

India???
You stay near the Capital of India, I guess!!!
Everything is possible. Here is my small story.
Claimed another round of insurance in Dec-2011.
Billed for Rs 2601.00 for Left Fairing change & paid Rs 186.00
Even my Left Indicator changed few days ago before the incident.
Guys from Insurance took the snap of Good Left Indicator.
Before leaving the SVC they TIPPED
me a brand new box of Left Indiactor.

Hey hi Guys,
After a long time writing to xbhp, quite busy with the new job.
Regarding the Engine oil for ZMR i have used following;
1). Shell Advance FS
2). Mobil FS
3). Honda 10W30 FS.
out of this my rating is as follows:
1). Mobil 10w40 FS
2). Shell Advance FS and
3). Honda 10w30 FS
presently using mobil 10w40 FS, very good oil, smoothness, pickup has increased drastically, feel like engine is moving freely, never felt before this.Replace the words "I have to" with "I choose to" and notice the difference in how you feel.
