The problem of rubbing sound from the front wheel mentioned earlier here is resolved yesterday after spending straight 9hrs at the service.... The issue was not the disc bend as assumed earlier but it was the speed sensor gear which is worn-out badly...
the whole speedo assembly costs 1500/- which is replaced under warranty...
The issue is resolved only after writing to HM zonal office regarding the negligence of service personnel in analyzing the problem.. The process for finding the problem took really long each and every part in the front of the bike is removed separately and bike test driven even the fairing is completely removed and tested... Finally after nearly 6hrs of testing the sound stopped when the speed sensor is removed.. Finding the new part took some more time and finally I rode home a happy man after 15days of unholy sound from the divinity (my bike)....All the wise men of the world are called wise only after they spoke their mind, so dont keep the ideas to yourselves!

Who can imagine a speedo sensor would go kaput in just few thousand kmsOriginally posted by rakesh_zmr View PostThe problem of rubbing sound from the front wheel mentioned earlier here is resolved yesterday after spending straight 9hrs at the service.... I am getting weird problems in my ZMR
:
1. The faring is vibrating a lot above 40 km/hr
2. Engine sound changes whenever i change gears . It screams in 4 and 5th gear
3. Whenever i leave the throttle i hear a weird rattleing noise from faring and engine
4. thud sound is heard when bike passes over a speed breaker or pothole
5. chain too makes noise
6. I have felt loss of power many times
got bike serviced 1 week ago still these problems persist
what should i tell svc people so that my problems got solve
I don't brake rules , I merely test their elasticity ;)

Check the engine protecting cowl which is located right behind the front mud-guard. there is a nut in the centre and it is really a NUT as it keeps falliing and the fairing starts making noise at low sppeds
2. Engine sound changes whenever i change gears . It screams in 4 and 5th gear
Dont know about this. never happened with me. might be with your transmission style or bad oil. not sure though
3. Whenever i leave the throttle i hear a weird rattleing noise from faring and engine
Please refer answer to question 1
4. thud sound is heard when bike passes over a speed breaker or pothole

5. chain too makes noise
too much Slackness in chain or no lubing. go and thrash the asc guys
6. I have felt loss of power many times
can be attributed to chain slackness

What other options you have??? and why are you waiting since a week for it. Go now
Cheers

They responded well it seems, the engineer from HM called me and inquired about the problem I explained him in detail, he said he spoke service reg it and asked me to take the bike to service whenever I can, and that they will rectify it. The end effect is that the previously negligent service personnel responded in a very dutiful manner and finally after disassembling each and every bolt of the front wheel and analyzed the problem.. But I stayed back at service just to make sure they do it right this time!Originally posted by vvijkumar View PostWho can imagine a speedo sensor would go kaput in just few thousand kms

and regarding the engine sound just ask them to check the tappets, they might be loose!Originally posted by Adityaask View PostI am getting weird problems in my ZMR

That is nothing but the fairing sound I doubt there will be any engine parts involved
4. thud sound is heard when bike passes over a speed breaker or pothole
Check you tool kit box if it has some loose stuff this may happen
5. chain too makes noise
Get the chain tight/loose eat the mechanics head in a good way and he will do it
got bike serviced 1 week ago still these problems persist
At service the mechanic does nothing but change oil and clean the chain unless you tell them there is some problem in such a way they can clearly hear it..

@siddharth_ZMR , rakesh_zmr : thanks for your valuable inputs guys . Today i went to ASC to rectify these problems but they were booked for today and tomorrow
so returned back and shot a message at hero moto
. Within half an hour regional manager called me and said that my bike will be inspected by their technicians within 8-15 days and my problems will be resolved

I guess Bhopal would be having more then 1 ASC.. try your luck at other one also... book a slot for Sat or Mon and dont wait for 8-15 days... in the mean time you can check for the fairing nut and chain lubing at your end and get them done...Originally posted by Adityaask View Post@siddharth_ZMR , rakesh_zmr : thanks for your valuable inputs guys . Didn't you get a tool-kit with your bike? I doubt that the service centre stocks tool kits. You can call up the spare parts department and check with them.Originally posted by siddharth_ZMR View PostCan anybody please tell from where i can get a tool-kit for my bike? I am from Pune.. does ASC stock it?
What tool do you need and for what purpose? I have purchased lots of tools to work on my RX100 from Raviwarpeth. Though I don't use them on ZMR. I don't want to touch the fairing. The only tool I use is an alley key (I think size 6) to tighten the nut for the mirrors.
