going by the recent discussion on oil... i guess a different grade or burned oil will also effect accleration and top speed... PSR sir please correct me if i am wrong....
Ok, though i check tire pressure regularly, I'll keep an eye on it while checking top speed.

      • Had a small chat with Joel yesterday . He said there are mods available for ZMR which will boost the performance by 3.5-4 bhp !! Does anybody here knows about it ??
        I don't brake rules , I merely test their elasticity ;)

go for Michelin sirac best for on / off road performance

First of all, dont use this much bold and colored fonts,Its a bit hard to read.

If you want Tube Less tire, get Sirac 120/90-18.
Heavy tire, will reduce mileage, topend and acceleration but will offer very good grip on any terrain.and will cost you more than 3500rs,forgot the exact price.

If you are ok with Tube type tire, get Sirac Street 100/90-18,Stock sized tire made in india.will cost you 1950rs+/-.Will offer good grip in all terrains, not as best as sirac 120/90-18,Still far better than stock zapper. Will not reduce performance and you dont have to compromise anything.

Just my opinion:Change both front and rear tire same time if you can,get Sirac Street 3.0 * 18 TT for front.

Its a TT tire,so running it as TL is not recommended.

                        • First Test for Top Speed.

                          Last Saturday,
We planed a shot Trip from Bangalore to Anthargange, took my "ZMR" to flex some muscles on the highway, reaching 0-100 kmph was easy indeed, 100-110 took few more seconds, went up to 115 still very comfy and stable, while at the same time, I was riding side by side with my friend in R15 was displaying 121kmph on his clock, that was surprising. After that I could have pushed harder, but there was too much compression generated, 8k+ rpm already. I would say a very good bike for hilly terrain, For Plain areas I need a 6th gear.

"Saary saar, red colour is naat available. White or black you take saar". Some have even said - "No demand for red saar, so we are naat aardering"!. Something is seriously wrong here fellas. Is this red crisis the same everywhere else? Or is it just Chennai that doesn't seem to get red coloured ZMR's and ZMA-R's?

So, what do you say guys? What colour shall it be? White or something else? Or shall I just put down a few thousand for a red and check out my fate? I really really REALLY don't want a black ZMR. Somehow, black ZMR doesn't look all that appealing to me on a ZMR as say red. Or white even!
Have you tried with Mohana automobiles in walltax road??very recently I saw 2 red zmr and a yellow one unloaded from the truck..I believe you can catch your machine at Mohana automobiles..As far as I know they deliver more number of zmas and zmrs in chennai in a very short time..very recently my friend took the delivery of a red ZMA 2011 within a week's time of booking.he tried with almost all the dealers in chennai and atlast got it here..try out there

Can be used but not tested much like the Sirac.

Sirac (120/80-18) is also a TT tyre. But people have used it as TL extensively and it has proved itself. Michelin guys even today don't recommend it as TL

Ya sixth gear is often missed as the engine has much more to give... but its ok... thats what gives the ZMR the relax feel.... regarding speedo i dont know about r15 but ZMR's speedo is most accurate so you can tell others to ask their speed to you...
