u need to be extra careful. from now on.. moment the motorcycle keeps falling it never remains as the orginal and then one starts facing niggling issues.. so keep an eyeOriginally posted by satyajitrc View PostFriends,
The inevitable happened. Crashed
my ZMR yesterday while returning Home from Office!!!
Learned the importance of Riding Gears hard way.
Face down hit on the Road towards left side.
My Full Face Black LS2 just had a minor scratch and saved me
entirely.
My Riding Jacket SHIFT had some impact on chest, belly and left arm but I was Shaken but Not Stirred.
Also learned that CABLES for TV Connection can be real dangerous.
Just started from Office around 07:00 PM and moved a kilometre from where I was supposed to take a Left Turn in a T-Junction.
The disconnected cable was passing thru diagonally which I could not notice.
This happened due to heavy Rains and Storms on Monday & Tuesday.
While taking left my Tires run over them parallel to the Cables and was thrown off in seconds.
Luckily I was around 30Kmph with my Riding Jacket, Helmets & Gloves.
Obviously ZMR took a left side beating with just scratches.
The SIX red marked places have been affected.M3:15

Need Assistance Regarding The Bad Illumination of the headlight!!!
hey guys...its been a long time that i have posted out here.
I have a little but a very grave issue when it comes to highway riding. Ive almost completed 9000kms on my white zmr. have ridden it on the national highways many times. The only issue i feel while riding it is the illumination of the headlight is very low when it come to riding in the dark. I have made plans of getting a HID kit installed. so needed some suggestions regarding the following:
1. What volt to be fitted....35/35 or 55/60??
2. Hid Lamps would be better or Projectors?
3. Approx cost that i would have to incur?
4. what impact would it have on my warranty ??
5. where can i get it done in Mumbai?
6.what is the procedure of the Hid being fitted on to the bike?
7. last and the most important....will it really be useful??Regards-

I fit Osram Night Breaker 55W halogen (H4 bulbs).
Quite decent lighting. In fact, its excellent.
No impact on warranty.
You can get it anywhere in your area. Any automobile shop will have stocks.
You can also go for 55W Philips Xtreme power. Its good too.
For either, you'll have to shell out 700 bucks.
Go for it. Its a safe bet.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Mileage in upper RPMs.
Hi guys,
One query, for the past 25 days, I've refilled thrice - 500 each.
So, I got 21.6 lts of gas. Totally, I rode 970 kms in this duration.
[I filled petrol after emtying the tank, water spill being the reason... Lost 4+ lts....
]
That means ~45 kmpl. (44.9)
But I rode mainly in the 5500-6k RPM range.
Earlier, I got similar mileage when riding in 3500-4000 RPM range.
Does this mean that RPMs are deceptive?
Because I ride in the upper band...
What say guys?Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.
Because everyone who passes, isn't a martyr!

A simple Bosch Bulb of 55/60W serves good. the problem with Nightbreaker or phillips xtreme is WHITE light. In rain, fog this light serves NO purpose. Niether you will be able to see anything and most IMPORTANT the vehicle coming from front wont be able to see you. If you still want to go for HID install with PROJECTOR. as HID without it isnt much of a help. For shop where you can get this go back 7-8 pages. Sachin Nair had posted pics of P220 HID with Projector and also the FB contact link of the person who does this in Mumbai.Originally posted by padfootmoony2006 View Posthey guys...its been a long time that i have posted out here.

Thanks for trying out man... Appreciate it...!!!Originally posted by Above_All View PostIf the SVC guys there are ready to order the stickers then get from them , as i won't get them below the printed price , ( & even it might goes higher as i found Satyajitji got mirrors for 215 /- per piece where as i got it for 285/- per piece . )
So may the taxes of state govt. making difference & also i need to courier / speed post the stickers to you which also need some 50/100 rupees .
And i was still waiting for R sticker for veryhiphop from around 1 & half month but it haven't arrived yet .
So if they are ready then get from them .
But be 100% sure that you use origional paint & get it done from expert . But best bet it claim as many part as you can in insurance & remaining in warrenty as ZMR comes with 3 year warrenty. Cause with new parts no worry of any internal damage or paint .
I got my bike checked from a different SVC in Delhi.. they said they will give me the claim for the damaged part... And they checked the entire front body (opening and packing cost 200rs) and suggested to go for claim as the locks for the headlight and right fairing have broken....
So I'll get the claim work done and will get the entire front end changed... means left side too!! will pay for that as it'll be a complete new front end and no issues of yellowish parts...
Meanwhile the Gurgaon SVC guys have not called me back and I haven't received any update from them regarding the matter even till now... So I definitely will not go for Gurgaon SVC now...
Also, I was looking for Shell Advance 10W40, but couldn't find it (couldn't check multiple dealers due to lack of time).. so used Petronas 10W40 engine oil... is it fine???
PEACE!!!!\/
RESPECT!!!!
