The speedo of the ZMR is one of the most accurate units around. I have crosschecked with a GPS Speedometer, and the speedo-reading was just 1kph off from the GPS-indicated speed. Meanwhile my CBR was indicated 6 kph higher than the actual speed.

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

      • Unfortunately true. It has a 6% error, so a speedo-indicated 100 is actually 94, a speedo indicated 90 is actually 85 and so on...

I expected the CBRs speedo to be as accurate as ZMRs.. as far as I know.. not even a single owner from the ZMR community has claimed their top speed more than mine which was 134kmph.. that too because of a slight modification and now back to stock and my Black Pearl does 129kmph top.. nothing more than that.. and I guess we all are pretty happy with that speed Thanks for the info by the way

In karizma thread sibun has highly recommended the same oil...what you owners say....
if you are talking about super swift then i must say it is the crappiest oil i have ever used. it is crappy even in rtr180. shell ax7 is still my choice when it comes to 10w40 grade.

somebody has used pulsar's rear sprocket here does it effect top speed too???

Veedo swift a Crap? I found it to be decent enough.
Its good enough to perform, but on change interval, yes i agree, not more than 1500-1800 kms.

ZMR has contact less sensor like the ones found in cars, due to this ZMR has a accurate speedo...

Only few would have seriously made an attempt to check out their top speed on a sports tourer. As said earlier 129kmph was highest in stock. That would be approx 135-137kmph on pulsar. I've done 128. After that the pull is zero.

Already mentioned.. top speed was 129kmph. My zmr reached 134kmph with a slight mod done.. again back to stock setup and top speed reduced to 129kmph..

                        • i was looking tyres on mrf and pirelli website...found that they both have a tyre size of 110/90 - 18 for ZMR (as per the specification)....but in 120 they have 120/80-18...

What does 80 mean.....is it height?

...can this size of tyre fit on ZMA/ZMR...

The experience posted on the website link you have provided is for pulsar...for the karizma the owner has not reviewed for Veedol Swift oil....

120 refers to the cross-section/horizontal thickness and 80 refers to the vertical thickness of the tyre. The stock is 100/90. Going for 120/80 would lower your rear height by 10mm+10mm = 20mm while the front being still 90/90, would be higher - this can affect handling significantly. And I seriously doubt if a 120 section can fit the ZMR without touching the swingarms. The clearance is very less.

You hit the Bulls Eye.. exactly.. a 110/90 Section or the 110/80 section are direct fit to the ZMR and the 120 section requires mods.. Removing the chain guard would do the job.. but i suggest not removing the chain guard as it does its purpose very well..

I guess the stickers are the same for all the ZMRs
