You can try a simple home-remedy so check if it solves your issue.
When parking the bike overnight, pull the brakes in tightly, tie them and leave overnight.

This will allow air bubbles to get released and improve braking. If that doesn't help, you need to go in for a bleeding.

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

Brake fluid depleted/air lock in brake hose.

Reneav, a tire has run in for the first 500 odd kms too.
            missed it,
i think its the air lock as i had not moved the bike from its place for a long time
            thanks divya

                  Attaching my own post below.

                  Mine is 110/90-18 M/C TL61 H SPORTD.
61 H can be split into 2 readings - "61" for the load index and "H" for speed rating.
61 stands for a max load of 257 kg on the tire. (I assume its bike + rider weight on the rear tire)

Make sure the length is correct with respect to max position, else there's no point in using it.

Do you have some spare time with you? Do you have a scrub? Do you have a bottle of water?

Then scrub your tire and that would take care of the run in part.

*The above question and reply would have been apt a few decades ago, but not in 2013. Just make sure the tire reaches optimum temp before doing some crazy stuff, and you're good to go.

No need to be gentle. You can ride hard as long as the tyre gives proper grip and feedback. Don't just push it over the limits. You would know the limits by the feedback of the tyre.

                              • I don't think its manually possible to 'run in' a tyre. A tyre needs to run normally for a few hundred kms before it can start giving optimum grip, and this period is referred to as run-in for a tyre. I don't think any precautions need to be taken as such, during the initial period, except that you need to remind yourself that grip levels are not optimal.

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!
