Screw TVM SVC, come to Kollam, most of the parts are readily available, and if not place order and you will get it within 15days, if you need it sooner give express order and you will get it within 5 days.

i asked them about the fairings they have only of hero honda..is the rest of spares readily available there?as you are from kollam is shop open tomorow? when is the shop closes?bro can please explain what i had to do for express order because i want it sooner...

I'm from Asramam, but tomorrow I'll be at TVM in the morning and in the evening will be riding to B'lore, so tied up. But no worries, call this number 9746051888, the guys name is Vivek, he works there. Just inquire about the availability of parts and specify which label type you want i.e Hero/HH if its available then come up and collect it. Else tell him to give express order which will cost abit extra than normal cost.

I have been in almost a same situation. Getting the spares from Trivandrum is close to impossible.
I ordered it from Cochin ( Focuz Motors ) and got it delivered within a week. Some of the parts are even readily available. So I suggest you give it a check before anything.
You can call there office and check availability.

You are just replacing the stock parts. No issue wit the warranty

Don't worry for the warranty. The bike is already with them right?

I don't think it should affect warranty. Talk to the SVC supervisor and put this thing in front of him before hand.

3M detailing services are good but a little costly. One can get the tank's side panels covered in 3M film since it can get scratched with the knee guard. But, now we have a OE sticker available for 500 bucks (both sides included), so you may skip 3M. For fenders, visor etc, no matter what you put, you'll get scratched within a year.

My mantra - Use the money on petrol, ride!
Wash the bike once every week and detail it once a month. I use waxpol + carnuba for detailing the bike myself and I'm pretty satisfied.

Yes, best is wash bike and then apply a polish of Formula 1 or Turtle...once polished...will last for approx a month....give shine...and bike look new... ..

In general, DOT4 is preferred due to it's higher boiling point (and hence, better performance at higher temperature, i.e. when the fluids get hot after prolonged use) but it's significantly expensive compared to DOT3
