Mine has been kept out in the rain for weeks at a stretch, due to new hostels rules which prevents us to park inside the compound, and yet it hasn't rusted, though there are some dirt patches that looks similar to rust and won't go away unless you scrub it off properly.

Naah its rust. It has been bothering me for months now, but after Phanikar sir jee replied, I got peace.

Yes, after 700 Km on HM oil..it feel like bike need a service.....and in ZMR manual its is recommended to change oil after 6000 KM...

BTW..today i had buy the PSD tyre..at Rs. 3500....will post images later....

Not yet change in ZMR...will do in evening....as temp is around 44 c...so not take the bike for market.....

      • Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR

PSD is the perfect tyre, keep the front as mrf or may be michellin if you get one

If you stick to HH oil then 900-1000 or even earlier like you mentioned is ideal time frame to change the oil

totally in love with the bike <3 touched 128 on speedo was astonished to see that number on my speedo coz last time when i tried to attain top speed i couldn't go beyond 113!! but the speedo in our bike shows very less when compared to the r15 which was showing 133 at the same speed!

now for the thing which is haunting me, the oil leaks near the engine this happens very frequently what could be the reason? last time i took it to the service they changed something called "o-ring" this happens very frequently is it something associated with my riding style or does it happen over time?

Where exactly? From Head? Next time replace those O Rings and use Fevi Bond on the orings too. It will be fine.

True, every time I set valve clearance, I'd get new cover bolts and o rings, and before putting them in, will coat the rings with fevibond.

Hi All....i had changed the engine oil to Veedol Swift 10 w 40.....its really awesome.....bike has become more smooth....more crisper... its best engine oil i used till date...earlier has switch to YamaLube, Ax7.....however; gear swift is same as earlier..no change....

Initially on change you may not feel much difference with existing oil...but as KM increases; oil give its best....

Few images of PSD i bought....and also the NGK G Power spark plug....

Guys, need some help here. I have taken possession of a friend's zimmer for a full week and it's speedo has gone kaput after a ride in the rains yesterday. It keeps displaying 0 km/h and everything else seems to work fine. How do I fix it? Will it be an expensive fix?

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

Check the meter cable.. This might have been broken somewhere... Nothing to do with rain I guess as my bike is getting regularly wet as here in West Bengal, "Kalboushaki" has already arrived...

Just to confirm.. is the trip meter nd the odometer running?? If not.. it should be the meter cable... if they are running.. then i am assuming its an issue wit the speedo console..
