Yes the Pulsar has Good set of Horns....but try retaining the stock ZMA horn and add a high tone 2 Ampere horn and tune it...it sounds more like a car.....My 2007 ZMA has the same setup .
I had not used any relay and have no problem regarding horn out put...I do have an Amaron 9 AH.

IIRC, the HMC ZMR horns are even louder and than the HH. Do check them out.

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

            • Thanks for the feedback.. I have zeroed down between Pulsar and RTR horn... Can anyone specify which will be best without hampering the battery of the bike... And most important no root and air horns as there is a chance of getting a fine in Kolkata, West Bengal in some places...

If any once can even specify the cost of the horns too...

On a side note, you're the 1st ZMR owner who says that OE dual horns aren't good enough. I find them louder than my taste. ZMA OE horns do suck BTW.

You're right Divya..but the best horns I have seen on any Indian bike till date, belong neither to ZMR nor Pulsar nor Apache...they belong to the rather unpopular GS150. It has one of the sweetest twin-tones out there! <personal opinion>

I know that!!! But unfortunately the OE dual horn has some kind of husky sound and makes the feel of the loudness very bad.. Tried to tune it personally and by the service guys but no luck...

hence though better change the horn itself... And more important question do I have to remove the vizar to change the horns???

                        • Guys a problem. In 5th gear when the engine is hot and at speeds of about 60-80kmph the bike refuses to pull and jerks violently as thought the fuel is over. I hear katkatkat sound from the engine when I shift to fifth and accelerate. As speed increases the bike refuses to pull and keeps on jerking. Any idea what the issue might be?

Sounds like a clogged fuel injector, probably you need to get the injector cleaned. Could be due too bad fuel.

                              • guys, i had posted that the front braking power had reduced, finally got to know the reason after taking it to svc ,the right fork has a bend and the oil seal has broken so the oil is leaking on the disk which is causing the problem. mech said that he had to remove the bend, replace the fork oil seal and oil which charges 1000rs so should i be present there when this is being done
and @divya which svc do you suggest me to get this done -nikki or swasthik motors
