After reading all the discussions; i think 110/90 is fine to go on ZMR.....Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostNeither... Zapper Q shown in ur pic is TT tire, paddy is waiting for a Zapper Q TL type, which I'm not sure is launched yet (or not).
PSD 110/80 would be too low for the bike and will cause unforeseen issues with handling and underbelly scraping. PSD 110/90 is the correct profile.
I too was in impression that Zapper Q is available in TL...this tyre has a good grip....i am planning to change rear tyre...may go for PSD...110

That true but neither 120 or 110 PSD is available...Originally posted by Divya Sharan View Post120 mm fits without any issues. I'm talking about PSD and .
Sanjeev from KOL did it. Page 669. http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcyc...a-zmr-669.html
It doesn't touch the brake hose/swing arm and stuff, but trust me, its very heavy and affects accelaration a lot. Don't trust me, ask Satyajit da. He's ridden ZMRs on stock tires, 110 PSDs as well 120 PSDs.
and Vyde cumes with 18''????
and is tubeless???

Yes, PSDs are out of stock in most places. Same fate as Michelin M45. Reason - no new inventories imported, because the tire doesn't have ISI mark on it. (Rules are rules)Originally posted by antan_shank View PostThat true but neither 120 or 110 PSD is available...

MRF launched Vyde 120/90 TL recently. Rejoice.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

No, front tire for me/Sanjeev were stock at the time of replacement. I'm still on stock tires @ front.

and is tubeless???Yes guys....presently the PSD is a good rubber present for the ZMR...i have a friend...zmr guy...now own a N650 Sachin Nair.....quite known to old xbhp members...has done 20k plus kms on his PSD and is a good rubber on tarmac....not made for offroading...but no issues for the usual offroading...!!Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostYes, PSDs are out of stock in most places. Coming to the 80 profile...i dont suggest an 80 profile tyre because it will increase the drag traction and the acceleration will further drop due to more contact of rubber and ground. Also the acqua planning of the lowe rprofile isnt good so ...as it is PSD isnt a wet gripp tyre...with a 80 profile you will further reduce the wet traction of the rubber. Also PSD being a soft compound tyre the more the contact with the ground the more the chances of Punctures...(personal experience on my P200)...!!
Then calling for M$%....its the best tyre for the ZMR but now not available coz of the ISI thing...its the same also with PSD and also with Sirac.....but i know a few places where the PSD is available in mumbai...!!!
I completed with around 23k kms on my ZMR and the stock tyres are still good to go...!! so thats the only reason im waiting for the ZapperQ TL.....by the way the CBR 150 comes with a zapper Q...is that TL????Regards-

I agree with the size and its tubeless.. But not sure whether it Zapper Q!!!
Anyways 110/90 - 18 is not tubeless.... And most importantly Vyde is not available in 18'' diameter, as far the official website....
So as of now no substitute for PSD... in 110 cross section...

PSD is definitely a better rubber for ZMR/ ZMA. brilliant grip, awesome corneringOriginally posted by padfootmoony2006 View PostYes guys....presently the PSD is a good rubber present for the ZMR...i have a friend...zmr guy...now own a N650 Sachin Nair.....quite known to old xbhp members...has done 20k plus kms on his PSD and is a good rubber on tarmac....not made for offroading...but no issues for the usual offroading...!!

I myself have gone with PSD 110 section for my ZMR. I had gone to the main supplier of MRF tyres who supplies MRF tyres all over Bangalore. They said in tubeless only 100 section is available from MRF which by default comes with the ZMR. Infact they suggested me to go with PSD for my bike. I first decided to go with 120 section PSD but it was not a direct fit as it was hampering the chain movement and the tyre was heavy too, so finally i went with 110 section which was a direct fit and did not require any modifications.Originally posted by antan_shank View PostThat true but neither 120 or 110 PSD is available...

@Divya, By tight, I meant that a 110 is the widest which we can fit without modding the framework. And yes, the 110/90 will maintain the same ride height as stock tires. Need to see how a 110/80 or 120/80 affects the ride height.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostNo. 110 isn't a tight fit.
