I had got suggestions from quite some people regarding it. But am worried on reliability
Also the fuel pump costs a 13k Imho.
The repair costs somewhere between 100 to 200 bucks. Even if it lasts a year, it's more than enough.
Pump's price has reduced from 13k to 6.7 something k.

Thanks.
Divya, the issue is not whether it will last a year. The worry is what if it concks off in middle of a ride :-P.

And if the cost is down to a 6-7k , I'll surely get a new one! Have no plans of letting the ZMR leave from my stable ever :-)

By all means brother. But to scare you further, a new pump (7k) can fail outta nowhere too. :P

Hey,
A thought.. I do not have the Orange/Yellow Engine light lighting up apart from the initial ECU check.
If I have a faulty fuel pump, should it indicate (light up) ?

I tried changing spark plug, ignition coil, fuel filter relay...etc etc...but all in vain.

So now I think it's the Fuel Pump that's gone kaput...and isn't getting the desired pressure!!

Anyone else whose felt such an issue or can help me analyse mine???

Thanks in advance!

Paddy !

Similar problem was faced when my air filter was clogged, i never checked it in 10-15k kms and when i bought new one just for sake of replacement .

Old one was brown in color rather than slightly yellow, it was choked all inside.

Request you to change your air filter and clean out air intake dust under seat.

Then you can proceed to fuelling , since its revving well in neutral i believe its something related to load related .

Hello all, last week I visited ASC to explain my problem(as per my post). Out of curiosity one of the mechanics came to me and asked me whats the problem.I showed him whats happening. He turned on all the lights(headlight and indicators) and pressed all the switches(horn, pass)at once and fired the bike(is it correct?). Everything in the console was reset. He said its the battery problem.I haven't believed him because bike is cranking without any hesitation at all times before he did this. Does full load on the battery makes it weak while cranking the bike? Today evening I tried to crank the bike, console was blacked out and came(everything is reset). Is it the poor battery(bought in 2015)? I use to ride roughly 6 to 10 kms per day. psr Divya Sharan

What was the actual problem? Sorry i didn’t read the previous posts if you have already mentioned it.

Check the voltage to the battery before, while and after cranking the motor.

If the trip and clock resets while starter motor runs, it is an indication of either poor charge(low kms done between days) or a battery going kaput. From what you have indicated a 3+ years battery is likely to be on the way out. To again check it properly do as follows.

1.switch on Ignition and headlight in high beam.

2. Hold front brake and press start button.

3. If bike starts , check trip and clock for resetting.

If the trip and clock has reset then it is an indication of Low charge / battery going bad.

Try charging the battery for 10 hrs to see if problem repeats..

A 6 to 10 Kms run per day is adequate to charge the battery...

Good Luck

I am no expert, PSR ji has already given an expert opinion.

I just remembered a discussion on CBR 250 ownership page, where everyone was surprised to know that the company's standard negative cable which runs from battery to the chassis is not working well and when they connected an additional cable from battery's negative terminal to any nut on the chassis they found actual increase in the engine power!

In short, I guess you should first clean the battery terminals and check the crimping on the battery wire connectors. Get a multimeter and check the continuity between battery negative terminal and naked chassis metal, similarly from battery's positive terminal to another wire supplying 12 volts dc on the wiring harness like the blinker relay or fuse etc. Maybe it's just a case of good old loose contact.
