Yes, caliper indeed looked made up of high quality. Although i got the o rings but that didn't fit in so continued with the old ones as they appear to be in good condition. Regarding reverse bleeding, i didn't done that, normal bleeding was only done. Will do it next time.

There is still some resistance to front wheel to move freely. Will try pouring cold water on assembly too. Thanks for the pointer. Caliper greesing was done too.

Currently, i am testing the mileage post caliper rebuild. Front brake pad has much life left. Will try pressurize water wash if mileage issue isn't resolved.

System G isn't available to nearest petrol bunk here. Have been asking every BP outlet, still no luck. Not available on amazon.in too. I guess have to use STP/Liqui moly cleaners. Hope is safe.

BTW, Clocked 177 kms post tankfull & the console still shows 6 bars of fuel left out of 8.

I don't think its available online. However, u can get it in a market for 275/- bucks, suggesting you to buy oem ones only.

Is it a good move to use the existing air filter and clean it with petrol and continue it's use. I had already used it for 3.5k kms in my 2013 model ZMR.

Yes, u can clean it with pressurised air & continue to use it. Won't suggest petrol though.

You can alternatively try ADON-P available in Indian Oil outlets, made By TOTAL in France, Imported and packed by Indian oil subsidiary and sold in Indian Oil outlets. It works wonders, 1ml for 1 liter of petrol. Available in 5ml sachets for 5litres for 9 Rs or squeeze bottle of 100ml for 160rs.I am using it regularly and have seen results on 1st tank full in my 50k clocked zmr and 75k clocked unicorn.

Thanks for the info, however, i got my hands of system g, bought all 3 small packets which was available with the seller and asked him to order more for me.
Poured in to the tank which was filled with full 15 lits of petrol. 5ml X 3 = 15 ml, just as per prescribed. Will update if i get any improvement.

Drove 254 kms from last tank full, the fuel gauge was showing 5 bars left. Topped up again & fuel went in was 5.77 lits.
Even if i consider roughly 6 lits ( giving benifit of doubt ),it would be 254/6 = 42.xx kmpl
So astounding mileage figs are 42 kmpl.. That too in city ride where i hardly get chance to shift in 4/5th gear. I am not sure what exactly helped me here, whether its caliper rebuild or the oil i changed settled down. Anyways, as long as i am getting good mileage m not bothered about finding the reason.
Awaiting for a long ride now.

Quoting my own post

The bike has became super refined. Used it for 30 kms. That sums up that system g is doing its job.

This is my first post, I had recently picked a used ZMR. It has done around 10.5 k kms so far. Its a genuine bike & was serviced in HASS only.
It was last serviced in march 2017.

Now things i have done so far are :

1) Changed engine oil to shell ax7 10w-40 but used 1 lts only.
2) Got the chain Slack adjusted.
3) Inspected & Cleaned air filter.
4) Ordered NGK G Power spark plug from safexbikes.com

What I am yet to do :

1) Chain clean & lubed
2) Chain Slack alignment ( it shows 4 bars on left side & 2 bars on right side)
3) Replacing both the brake pads.
4) Upgrading the HL bulb with good 55w bulb.

Issues I am facing :

1) Mileage issues. I am getting around 20 kmpl in the city usage with sedate riding. Its low as i know i should get somewhere around 33-35. i keep the recommended air pressure in both the tires.
2) My front wheel doesn't rotate freely. I noticed it today while i was filling air in the tires. Is this is the culprit behind the low mileage ?. Upon asking the my FNG, he said i have to replace the whole caliper, which i doubt. I am yet to take the second opinion from another mech.
3) False gear shifting
4) Notchy gear shifts
5) Difficult to find neutral
6) No Neutral light comes up

Confused on :

1) After replacing oil, oil filter wasn't cleaned or even touched. What should be done in this case. ?
2) Brake oil. Should i replace it now or should i continue as it is ?

Also, i would like to know if anything else need to be replaced as preventive measure ?
Will post the pics of bike in a day or two. Thanks in advance.

- Vicky
Welcome Vicky,

Couple of things you should do :

Get Chain Sprocket cleaned, front and rear sprockets as well, remove the chain cover and front sprocket cover, clean with diesel and WD40
Replace accelerator, clutch cables
Brake fluid change is not needed at 10k kms, neither the pads (unless they are worn out)
Check Tyres ( go for some better ones than the stock)
For your gear shift issues, it is a bit difficult to find neutral at start, but with 10.5 kms i would advise to check clutch plate and pressure plate
if you get bulb replaced, put in a Bosch relay
Go for a good horn with a relay

Thanks for the pointers worrisomebear
I will get those acc cable, clutch cables checked & will clean the spockets, chain etc during my next visit to mech.
Brake fluid was already replace & it was all mucky. Glad i changed it.
Regarding tyres i am still thinking as the current mrf still has good rubber left on them. No plans to upgrade at the moment.
Do you think clutch, pressure plate needs any sorta attention at just 11k on odo ? Still will get it checked.
For bulb max i would go for 55w led or halogen, iirc many here upgraded to 55w without any relay, so i guess will pass it.
Horn, current one was serviced and putted back, does it duty well, so no need to upgrade.

Got the clutch cables tightened as @worrisome pointed out & shifting for neutral isnt an issue any more. Even the shifts between the gears is smooth now.
Drove 330 kms from past tank full & she gulped in 9 liters total equating to 36.7 kmpl. Not sure why the reduction from 42 to 36. Anyways, system G again unavailable from the shop i bought it last time

Cheers !

Update

Last week tanked up the bike & 8.73 lits of fuel went in for 230 kms. Price per litre was 80.11. So, 80 x 8.73 = 699. Meaning 26.xx kmpl of avg. Now i don't understand why so much of variation on FE. Is it due to clutch tightning or i haven't cleaned/lubed the chain from past 1000 kms.

Also would like to know after much kms i should lube/clean the chain. PS : i am running without chain cover.

Thanks
