Here's the link for Karizma ZMR catalogue (1st most ZMR variant, not the newer one):

Rear seat & cowl parts are shown on page 44. I was confused about the color code, some parts have "panther black metallic" in the title, but others only have "PNB" hence I didn't write the parts number here. Most probably part numbers ending with A are black. Other members are welcome the clarify the color code.

Guys, I am planning to change the front tyre, it has lost maybe 40% grip but I had installed it in 2013 and I don't feel confident anymore due to its age. I am also feeling a loss of straight line traction under heavy braking. Which one of the following will provide bigger CONTACT PATCH in a straight line?

1. MRF Masseter FX 80/90 -18

2. Ceat zoom XL 90/90 -18

3. MRF Zapper Kurve F 90/90 -18

NOTE: I am not worried about changes in height or weight, and price is not an issue, I just need the best possible grip under harsh braking in a straight line. Of course, if any one of above has got terrible WET grip please let me know.
Divya Sharan Please share your views. You had already suggested me to go for 90 mm wide front tyre but I couldn't wrap my brain around using a rear tyre in the front, please don't mind.

MRF Zapper Kurve F 90/90 -18 is a 90 section "front" tire. It is the OE front tire for Bajaj V15.
I'm using the same and happy with the feedback.

P.S: steering would appear to become slightly heavy until you get used to the same.

Masseter is the best option w.r.t grip but it would slightly reduce the sidewall height and chances of a bent alloy over potholes increase.

Zapper kurve f recommended. Using it on zma r for 5000 kms and I'm happy with the performance.

Still I need to make sure, do you mean straight line grip under harsh braking is better in Masseter compared to kurve?

I was thinking that maybe kurve has got wider contact patch in a straight line, whereas masseter is a much more rounded which is better for cornering grip but doesn't provide wide straight line contact patch. It's just a wild guess, please prove me wrong so that I can happily buy zapper kurve f 90/90 18 and be done with it!

P.S. Have you changed your fork springs till now, your motorcycle is also quite old like mine and I was thinking about it. What difference will I notice with new fork springs?

Kurve has a wider patch than Masseter and it does lend better controls IMO (after you've got used to the heavier steering/handle). Cornering properly takes some getting used to. Masseters on the other hand are corner happy. The bike would happily tip into corners and it being a soft(er) compound provides awesome grip under braking. Maybe a tad better than Kurve F but overall I find that Kurve suits my needs. It looks better, the bike seems well balanced (90 section front + 110 section rear) and that sidewall height isn't compromised, I chose Kurve over Masseters.
I haven't yet changed fork springs, though I intend to do it next year. Bike usage has reduced hence it is getting postponed. Once changed, you'll get better feedback under braking and over bad roads. The bike would wobble like a boat much less than it does now, on older worn out springs.

Help:
1) I'm having 2011 zmr.The bike is great until I had this problem.Sometimes my bike fails to start which sounds like "dhug dhug'' and shutdown some times for 2-3 times.I'm having this issue from the last few days and another weird problem I'm facing is fi indicator turns on after turning on the engine and makes a weird noise and engine sound becomes normal. Please check the video.I take good care of my bike.I replaced air filter and spark plug(ngk iridium) a couple of days ago.

2) Leakage at outlet tappet adjustment screw.I changed it 3 times and this problem keep on coming.
3)And also why my bike is sometimes smooth and sometimes rough? Is it because of FI or any sensor?

Intermittent stop and change in quality of ride seems to point to Fuel Pump...Get the pressure checked at the ASC.Also check for Spark plug gap and wear..

Fuel pressure of ZMR fuel pump is roughly 30 PSI.
It now costs 6.3k approx (as opposed to 13k earlier).

If your mech is good enough, you can try servicing the same unit (only if it's faulty). I'd recommend this as the last option.
Check all electronics on the bike after inspecting the spark plug. How old is the plug on your bike anyways?

Bike did 2000kms after spark plug(ngk iridium) change.

My suspicion is on the following components :

1. Check for the relevant fuel pump pressure.

2. check for partial block of fuel filter..better to replace it since it costs less.

3. Improper functioning of O2 Oxygen sensor.

If you are in the habit of filling petrol to full tank, and running it on and off (not regular) with gaps of 8`10 days in between, then suspect bad Petrol , which can also cause the above components to fail.Petrol more than 10 days old starts to loose it's chemical properties and slowly turns into varnish like substance over a period of time.

Good luck
