The main reason is the bike looks disproportionate from the rear. Also the rear seat is too high as per my liking. I dont mind the rear from ZMR v1 or classic karizma, as they both have identical seating. Also since the handle bar would be reverted back to classic karizma for straight posture, the long fairing would still help in deflecting winds.

To be honest, the only reason am considering this gamble because of 20hp karizma with better technology and comfort for highways. Always wanted to own one, but specs and tyre were too low for my liking.

Coming back to my question, is it possible to swap the rear panels and seat of previous ZMR?

Possible very much mind you it will look broad from rear and slim from front but will require expert mechanic and some welding to get it proper finish.

This is what i have in mind.
Its an old karizma but installed with zmr v2 fairings.
What am trying to know is possibility of other way around. Can only be possible if the chassis are same for all the karizma and zmr.

Anyway thank you all for the insights.

                      Hello Guys,
So finally after over 3 months of running around from pillar to post with a not so satisfying bike performance. Finally the issue seems to be resolved.

I sent the bike to local friendly garage thrice where the mech claimed to clean injector and throttle body. Still issue persisted. So went twice to the Hero SVC, where they to claimed to clean the same. None of them had the device to check the fuel pump pressure to debug the issue. Finally i planned to replace the fuel pump at SVC but no they dint have a fuel pump in stock.

So after all in vain i just happened to buzz my mechanic who works on my ninja. He asked me to come and he knew how to check the fuel pump.
He removed the fuel pump and connected it externally to a battery and said if in the first 34 seconds its able to jet out 150-200 ml of petrol the fuel pump is alright. And kudos as per his diagnosis the fuel pump was alright.

Next he asked whether the throttle body and injectors were cleaned, to which i said yes.
But he still opened them up and checked and there was the culprit, a clogged throttle body!
He said the amount of muck it has has never been cleaned for over 20k kms to which i was surprised as all my earlier mechs said we have cleaned it.

Anyways, he cleaned it. fixed everything in place.

For now the bikes is back to full power and riding it has been fun since the past two days.

                      some pictures:

changed tyres recently to Mich Sirac on rear and Ceat gripp X3 on front:

I also changed my trusted HID's to V18 40w led. The HID had a good thro and a much better spread than the led. I need to adjust the LED to check if the spread gets any better. they costed me some 1850/- bucks.

He also suggested to get the complete wiring harness changed as it was over 9years ive had the bike. So thats up next week.

How are you manan bhai. Long time! Still have the autograph of your favorite superstar with you?
                      Hi KDH,

I Changed my front tyre with Ceat gripp X3 ... steering is hard and unable to turn easily and suddenly bumping to opposite sides while turning.... Is this same with you ....will this change after few days ? Please share your experience.

                          35k for a used ZMR from 2012 ?
Man, I would say it's totally not worth it. But then, it's your decision.

Parts are very tough to procure, you have online sellers like thesparescompany, but even then, procuring parts is a pain.

I had plans to build a cafe racer on the kari platform, infact we have already built it halfway and facing problems in procuring parts even from Rudrapur and Delhi cities.

We picked the bike in a very good condition for 15k.

                          Goodluck.

This is my bike which i bought in 2012..King ZMR..look even.in 2020 how well i have maintained it guys..Last 5 yrs i am self servicing, using shell ultra 10w40 Fully synth..(every 5k kms), last week i cleaned the trottle body, plate, injectors, fuel pump, and pre fuel filter below the tank(black small cylindrical pipe connecting tank to fuel pump and my god it was so dirty i used bikes own petrol to clean them all..took 8-12 hrs for the job, this time i used zic zk m9 fully synth oil and immediately i noticed smoother shifts and lesser vib even without lubrucating clutch cable.I reset ecu and throttle position sensor and the bikes acceleration and pick up has great improvement. Before this the rpm at cold start will idle between 1400-1600 but after cleaning throttle body, injector, pre fuel filter and fuel pump(lot of crud and dirt was removed using petrol, and since i am new here,i dint take pics) the cold start rpm is constant now at 1200 and no more rpm fluctuations..after riding sometime the idle at netral becomes 1000..i just need to adjust tappets and put a new cam chain tensionerClick image for larger version
