guys AFAIK reserve isn't of 4L, earlier i thought like this too but when i asked this from an HH engineer he denied that ZMR has 4L reserve..when last bar starts blinking that means it has around 2.5L usable petrol in it, though m not very sure about the quantity..Suzuki Gixxer - Current

One of my friend was claiming 20kmpl driving within city limits in Chennai, I think he was over exaggerating or there is some problem with the bike or his driving style sucks.Suzuki Gixxer - Current

Ya, it is the newest model with white grab rails and white mirror cover body, one tattoo of zmr on the RPM meter. And, I guess thats all about the changes from older model to a newer model.
I have some questions.
Hero and Honda split up, and now if in case we need any spare part or any help, to whom should we approach? Will they still manufacture the spare parts? Will all the bikes sold by Hero-Honda will get assistance.
And is there any service center specifically for ZMR ? I went for the first service and it was pathetic. The guy asked me if I want to get the Service oil changed.
I will be moving to Mumbai, Kandivali- w in May end. So, the second service will be due in June 1st or 2nd week. I would like you guys to suggest me the best possible service I can get for the ZMR.

My bike got slipped in my office parking lot due to that there was a dent in the Tank and minor scratches on the left Cowl, but from then i am facing a serious problem of wheel wobbling, i informed SVC they claimed it as a fork bend and they said they have straightened the bent, but the problem remains the same even after repeatedly informing them four times, but the forth they said the front wheel got bent and as well as the disk plate and they claim i need to change the wheel unit, please help me out of this issue
--> wheel & Disk plate bend cant be removed ??

--> Is that only the wheel bent or still the fork gives me the issue as i am suffering from severe shoulder pains

Yes they can be... Go for wheel alignment... (Computerised not hammerisedOriginally posted by lucky005 View Post--> wheel & Disk plate bend cant be removed ??

) and I don't think disk plate is bent unless you are hearing some really screechy noises from your front disk (comes when bent disk rubs vigorously against disk pads). You can also check this by keeping your bike on main stand and rotating the front wheel... You'll know if the disk plate is bent by mere observation
Experts please comment!!Originally posted by lucky005 View Post--> Is that only the wheel bent or still the fork gives me the issue as i am suffering from severe shoulder pains.sigpic

Bend on Alloy wheel will cause wobbling,no doubt on that.Dont know about removing alloy bend, heard of removing simple bends with hammer method
.Coming to Disk Plate bend removal,Some one in the forum had done it before @ a lathe and the lathe man said 10% of the bend cannot be removed from disk plate. So better to buy new one instead of spending money on bend removal
,just my suggestion.Don't you get insurance for metal parts?

front-wheel & steering column defects from falls and bumps and crashes, even minor falls , are very common and very difficult to correct , mainly because it takes a very good mechanic to detect the exact fault that has happened . They seem to haunt me with every bike I buy .. since soon after
. And then mechanics say this is bend , so I get it mend , the problem remains .. then he says , saar I think that is also damaged .. etc etc ... it can happen due to anything like a bend bearing race in the steering , fork bend , t-stem bend , wheel or even the handle tube itself etc etc . I think your mechanic is shooting in the dark as is usual with HeroHonda service , eventually they will tell you that the whole front portion is gone from the fall , so you have to replace it
, it doesn't cost them a paisa . Get a good mechanic and find out the exact fault and ask him to show you what is bend and how . Then mend it .
Cast aluminum alloy wheel bends cannot be removed without causing structural weakness to the metal , don't do it , it'll become unsafe to ride at zmr speeds .Last edited by Pinaki; 05-15-2011, 04:13 PM.
