This is not a problem ..This is the way it is made I think since it is FI bike you need to make sure you have at least 3 litres of fuel so as to avoid damage to your FI engine. So I suggest whenever you see only 3 points remaining please make sure you re fuel back and not wait.Originally posted by abhijitw. View Post

Congrats and look forward to see pics!Originally posted by The Ghost Rider_Surendar View PostHi All ZMR friends,
This is Surendar of Chennai.
I've been following xBhp n thr interesting threads (Esp. this thread) since Aug 2010.
This thread helped me to decide on goin for ZMR Blue (Cos I was lil confused b/w ZMR n Thunderbird)
I got my blue eyed fairy delivered on 7th Oct, 2010
(On road - Rs. 1,05,000 Approx.)
I waited nearly a month to get my d.o.b as Regn no. n my first experience with ZMR was like I was in Cloud 9... I jus loved the way she looked n sounded.
(Cos I've never driven a Karizma b4)
I have a 1997 model Hero Honda CD 100 (My dad's bike in which I learned riding!!!
) & my expectations on HH's quality was spot on with my ZMR.
She is such a swt heart... I loved her from the very moment I switcher her on
My girl met wit a minor accident on her 6th day when a stupid govt. bus driver bumped her behind in an ever-crowded Chennai road.
Result: Tail danger lamp's fiber case suffered a blow n broke in the middle

After that freak show I drive her wit atmost care protecting her from de other commuters travelling by
The avg. mileage I got (b4 1st service) was 30 & it improved to 40-44 (after 1st service)
The odo meter shows 1990 Kms nw... I've made a top speed of 110 wit her (til nw) & I'm yet to take her for a long ride (Planning for it asap)
I expect a swt journey wit ma blue eyed beauty in the times to come..
I'm really xcited to share my experiences wit u all... Wil surely post her pics soon (As I'm typin this from office
)
Take care..

i do reset the trip meter....Originally posted by anmol_1990 View Postwell the indicator is little inaccurate but not that much as mentioned by you.
keep a watch on trip meter.[reset it when filling the tank]
this is the reason i m not able to calculate my bike's mileage.
as of now it should be 40

but each point in the fuel ind. resembles 2 litre of petrol......Originally posted by Sachinnair View PostThis is not a problem ..This is the way it is made I think since it is FI bike you need to make sure you have at least 3 litres of fuel so as to avoid damage to your FI engine. so whtz the exact amt of reserve?
i discussed this problem with the SVC gyz, as per them its normal and the reserve of bike accounts for 5 litres!!
as per me it wont be the case.

hi guys... got my Black karizma zmr today... best experience of my life..
d HH SVC guys filled only 1.5 litre petrol..
and told me to fill d petrol from petrol pump near the centre.. i filled 300 rs petrol which is 4.85 litre approximately.. now three blocks can be seen in display.. but sometimes 2 or even 1 is seen n it again goes to 3 blocks.. what is the problem? how much qty is to be filled..
i am riding with constant speed of 35-40 n havent excceded it and 65kms are done today.. how should i calculate milage?
one more thing is the gear shifting slightly harder? because i previously used to ride splendour and gear shifting was very smooth..
i haven't got users manual as i'll be getting it with RTO passing n other documents on monday. so guys please help..

bro as this is a brand new bike,it will take some time to smoothen up becoz the engine parts need to undergo break down.Untill the 1st servc dont xceed 45kmph.And dont calculate mileage now bcoz its new.try to check after 1 week or 10 days..Dat is also the problem for the fuel indicator to show the exact bar of fuel.Within some odd 200-300 km will make the bike fine in condition in all aspects.Ride Happy & be Safe.Enjoy Your Ride...Originally posted by PRAGRULEZ View Posthi guys... got my Black karizma zmr today... best experience of my life..

Reserve is around 3 litres and make sure you have at least 2 points on your fuel indicator so that you dont damage your FI. I make sure as soon as it drops to 3 points I refuel it again. My bike is performing amazingly so far in terms of mileage and performance. I think I am getting close to 45 kmpl in city which is amazing for a 225 cc bike.Originally posted by abhijitw. congrats for ur new machine. since the engine is brand new, give it some time before it sets in. after first service you will see gear sgifts getting smoother........change oil at 500 km.Originally posted by PRAGRULEZ View Posthi guys... got my Black karizma zmr today... best experience of my life..

My best wishes for your black beauty!
Initially I had the same problem of tighter gear shift which even made the top layer of shoe develop a cut, got it checked by SVC & they applied little grease opening up the gear lever then gradually gear shifting became smoother...Faster, faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death ~ Hunter Thompson.
