              • Apache RTR180 owners :

Guys your bike has a lot of dum... Today a guy tried to drag with me and i must say i never expected such a good intitial pick up from the 180

He almost defeated me till about 70-80km/h. After 100 the story was different but boy oh boy either that guy was a fantastic dragger or the 180 has a lot of dum till about 70-80 kmph. It went head on with my 220.

P.S i have a week old 220 and yet to master quick gearshifts, i was grinning in my mind when he was revving to invite for a race but the grin vanished when that guy took off.

Respect for the RTR has grown manifolds in my eyes now.. Its a nice powerful, handling machine... and till about 60-70 pickup is damn good.

the RTR 180 and the FI has addictive kick no doubt..... but if it was me driving the P220 and that guy,i would have never saw that "V" shaped mudguard.... if it was a start from the stop,LOT and i mean LOT depends on the rider..... launching the bike right coupled with clutchless shift will make you fastest INDIAN next time for sure.....

                    +1.
Agree, more than the machine it depends on the rider to which am yet to grow up. Just 350 kms of riding exp of a 220. I was spellbounded for few seconds when the 180 kicked off. Also the over revv indicator light didnt come up- i was shifting a wee bit early.
Fastest Indian- it was only when i hit 9K RPM in 3rd and hit a top whack of 130+

Let me get over with 1st service, will have to learn about launching bike properly. Also clutchless shift is done at higher RPM's na?
Take bike to 8K RPM, ease throttle immediately push the shifter up and blip the throttle?? Right?

                      • Guys today I went to the SC and explained the Service Incharge who is son of the showroom owner about the techo problem. He is very close to me as I talk to him a lot when goes for servicing and small hicups. He said that if it is faulty we will change it. Or what I need now??

                          • changed front disc!!

i just changed my entire front disc of my Apache 150 a few days back because it had worn out really bad. My bike has completed 62,000 kms on the odo. I had ordered for a new 240mm front disc from TVS genuine spares which cost me Rs.1350. But it was worth the investment, or i would had to keep changing my brake pads as they were wearing out really fast on the old disc. Some pics here to compare the old and new disc!!

Just a doubt, will the petal disks of the RTR 160 doesn't suit your needs.
Some experienced owners can throw light on it.

As Renny said, ECU remapping is not possible, not in the near future .

Renny, mine has done almost 28.5 Ks. May be you have to wait to hear the sound.

In my view, KK TVS (Rohtak Road, Nangloi Indl Area) is much better than other SVCs here. For me, SK TVS (Mayapuri) is BLACKLISTED as I was never satisfied with their quality, and they try to cheat by charging for parts which are covered under warranty.
