          • Its been long since I have posted here... so here it is

            Like said a few weeks back, I just revived my RTR160 again...

            What went in was a small list of Cosmetic and Not so Cosmetic mods




            The 'new' bike is now two weeks and 3200KMs old!

            Cosmetic Mods: Well nothing except for a paint job and a la-poser style limited edition decal on it
            The Paint theme is a combo of Pearl White + Gold + Black...
            This is where the cosmetic stuff ends...

            The bike now sports a bigger bore and piston courtesy our own super hero Joel!
            The bike is still not finished and this is just a trailer of what all is planned for it!! (No I wont give up my RTR!)

            From a performance point of view, the bike did its running in on the way to Rajasthan, so much for the performance in terms of its endurance and its reliability! The bike is now a screamer! it literaly flies! I am yet to see a bike which I cant catch up in the 'kiddish' signal to signal moto gp's
            super-insane-stuff! On my way back from Rajasthan I could not only comfortably keep up with the ZMA but also smoke the crap out of it... the acceleration till 115KMPH is "xxxx" !!!!!! All I am missing from the R15 is the vibe free handling and the sixth gear!!!!! but then again I am not complaining!

            Next in line would be a custom head with works and a new carb!

            • HEy guys last nite wen I got home my bike was fine, but today wen i started it fr the 1st time using the self (which i always do), the digi console got reset and the bike didnt start as if the battery has less charge, but the horn & indicators were workin absolutely fine. Even the battery indicator on the console didnt blink. My bike is around 10 months old and has done 9450 kms. It has never done this before ever. I always use the self and it has never let me down before.So I started it with the kick and after that it was fine. Why did this happen?

                  What size bore you run now? Crank shaft kept intact? whats the comp. ratio now?

                    Everything stock except for the bore and piston. I dont know the compression ratio, I know the bore size but I dont want to talk about it here considering that its someone else hard work!

                      there is some loose connection check battery and fuse holder,killswitch,
                      and a small switch located at the left handle bar to prevent the engine starts with gear.is the colck is reset to 12:00?

                        If you have increased the bore only, you are running higher c.c. but lower comp ratio and ultimately, lower thermal efficiency. Shave the head by 0.5 to 0.75 mm to increase compression ratio. That will make way difference on performance.
                        There's lot to it other than saddle....

                          what an R15 guy doin here....

                          nice to see the pearl white colour and the side panel painting scheme, it's looking good.

                          do post the 0-60, 0-100 timings and if possible the PS the bike is churning out at the crank, and yes pull till what RPM.
                          as the work is done by Mr JOEL it gotta be flying!!!!

                          open the side panel (battery side) and clean the terminals (connectors) of the battery using a sand paper, apply "VASELINE" after that and your problem will be solved.

                              Nice to see ur RTR up and running. Are'nt you raping it? i mean 3k+ kms in 2 weeks?

                              My RTR is in it shittiest condition ever! oil leaking everywhere. I have to top up 200 ml for almost every 1500kms. No pick up, too much of valve/tappet noise, heavy wobbling, and some eletrical issues too. Am just dragging it for now. Will have to send it to its in laws place only after feb

                                You have got cubic capacity & compression ratio. Then find compression volume. Then, (new comp ratio)/(old comp ratio)=(new comp vol.)/(old comp vol.)

                                increasing comp ratio is reducing comp vol.
