Their funda is that idling at least RPM possible without stalling is best for long engine life&higher mileage.Originally posted by HighwayToHell View Post1400 is for FI's or all RTR's ??? I've an RTR and the SC guy alwyz tunes mine @ 1100.
My Fiero F2 manual also states 1500RPM as idling speed, but it has been idling at 1100 happily since the last 5-6 years.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

But once Svc mech was trying to adjust engine idle RPM thru Computer s/w witch they have for Efi bike and i saw Engine Idle Rpm was 1300 and on techo same time it was around 1100-1200Originally posted by rocker View PostSo no problem at 1100 too ??
.
Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.

I keep mine at 1200 RPM
. If you regularly switch off the engine at signals
, you can opt to keep it 1500 or anything. But, keeping it higher will lower the engine braking and bike will consume more fuel unnecessarily at retardition also. 1100 to 1300 is fine if you can clean the air filter regularly, or your riding conditions are not so dusty, causing the restriction to air flow and ultimately stalling of engine.
There's lot to it other than saddle....

Off late i dont hear it, I know for sure that in my case its not the handle as I had got them checked intially.
Try tightning the handle bar check nut. If its set well, change the cone set.
@renny: If the cone set is defective, u cant do anything by tightening the handle bar. Handle will become tight, but still the noise will come on potholes. This fenomenon indicates that the recess of male or female cone or both is defective (not turned properly).Last edited by nox2505; 10-06-2009, 10:37 PM.There's lot to it other than saddle....

i dont think the handle bar is the problemOriginally posted by rennycornelius View Postyour handle bar is loose...
both of you go to the SC and get it tightened,that will eliminate the noice...
read->
i was going down the slope.at a speed of 40kph,i saw a speadbreaker(plastic or fiber whatever).which are really small.i braked hard the bike came down to 5 to 10 kph.the front shock where fully compressed(i guess).when the front tire went over the small breaker,there was this loud noise.so tell me what would be the prob?
