LOL, bro.....my top speed on my RTR is 136kmph. That was back in 2008. i have'nt really tried to top it out after that. tried once in 2010 sep and did 134kmph. Have been riding bit sanly after that. I tried it yesterday again and it top out at 120kmph. guess it need few adjustments

i dont do any additional rides.. just home-begumpet to office-kondapur and back. But the flyovers,jubilee hills and madhapur bypass are my areas to hit 110-120 daily.

Its a Orange RTR FI and no stickers.. u cant miss a orange FI

Guys which is the best ASC in pune . My 160 has clocked 20.5k kms and i need your inputs on parts that need replacement at this point,due to regular wear and tear. I am a redline rider and my gal needs a proper check up. Please direct me to the best ASC around. I ve replaced the rear tyre at 16.5k to Zapper Q.Pick up and top end have reduced a wee bit,noticeable though. Is it due to the 90-18 instead of 80-18 ? Do i need to replace the clutch plates.

I belong to hyderabad and i wouldn't think twice to ride down to Kiran TVS for a checkup but unfortunately arun is not around anymore.

Tyres for my Apache RTR 180

I want to change the rear tyre of my Apache 180 RTR. The stock TVS tyres are pathetic in wet. Please suggest me a good brand and tyre size that i should go for. I want a tyre that would grip well even on wet roads. Also, i dont want the height of the bike to increase.

Hi All,

I'm due to do my 3rd service this coming saturday(June 4th). I was planning to change the oil from tvs tru4 oil (10W30) to something else as I'm having a lot issues with gear shifts. Most of the times its pretty hard/tight to shift and also sometimes gear doesnt fall correctly and sometimes the gear falls back in the middle of acceleration. I know that 10W30 grade oil normally gets heated up pretty fast after heavy traffic city ride or when long drives are done

. Also I'm planning for a long drive in June and so I dont think 10W30 will fit into that. I was thinking if any brand is providing 15W40 grade

. I know castrol is proving 20W40 grade but as now monsoon has started I'm feeling cold start issues might happen if I go for 20W40. Please provide your valuable suggestions as I have to make up my mind by this friday. Advance thanks to all..

I would suggest to go for 110/80-17 or 120/80-17 configurations though the latter will be an over kill in performance. Brand -wise MRF Zappers will do the job.

MRF 100/90 more than OK for RTR. You don't wanna cosmetisize the bike...

Please switch to xW40 asap,it will be good for your bike's health.
There are plenty of options,if you have done more than 3-4k kms,then you can switch to semi-synthetic oil like castrol power one

I own RTR 180. The bike comes with 110/80 tires.

thanks dude...im planning to go for castrol power one...hope that will solve the issue...main thing is I need to ask those service center guys nt to put oil...

Are Michellin tyres better than MRF? And do they come in 110/80 - 17 size? A tyre vendor suggested that Dunlop is better than MRF. What do you suggest?

Ofcourse they come. Their builtin power made for that one.
110/80 in 160 RTR you will notice performance drop for sure.
100/90 Zapper Q is much good. though 120/80 can be fitted in RTR.

No, Dunlop is not better than MRF.

Also check Clutch setting . Castrol Power 1 suits well for RTR ( 15w40) .
