metro tyres man!Originally posted by velociraptor13 View Post@razor-can u tell me from where u purchased this tyre from?so goes for the m45 too.
yeah.. IMO if u r going for m45, choose the same shape tyre for the front! try to avoid the fat front!Originally posted by onlinesatish View Posti was abt to put the same config. but after reading ur reviews.....thambi ushar aitaan
front tyres are the most important part of the bike.. even if the rear gets punctured, we can still get the bike under control.. but if front gets punctured at high speeds!! whoa!
darn, darn and more darn.Originally posted by onlinesatish View PostIts available for 1.5k rs here in hyd.
Man i love saying this
I have 21k on my odo and I have changed the following tyres already,
rear
1. stock ->3000 kms..
2. Dunlop monster [amazing tyre 100/90/18]
3. Dunlop monster [too much burnouts on my previous so changed it]
4. SM Racing [tubelss 140/90/18]-> over kill
5. Finally M45. [120/90/18]-> u get confidence and I trust the tyre more than my skills
front
1. stock
2. IRC tubeless [100/80/17]
I have spent like 6300/- for my rear and 2600/- for front just for the tyres alone!!!!
darn!

other than the tyres,
I have changed sprocket set, clutch plates[twice], fuel level indicator inside tank and a lot more cables!
and I am still in love with ma rtr!Last edited by razorBlades; 03-05-2009, 01:42 PM.A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.
Always be ready (get geared) to fall and then think of sitting on the motorcycle.

This thing happened to me as well.. the bike just switched off and there was no response to throttle input.. it happened 3 times in total.. and my bike had done around 1200-1300 kms.. has not happened since then. I took it to the svc station (bharath tvs - bangalore.). They said the 'problem didnt appear' whenOriginally posted by malli303 View PostThe engine gets-off while running.........in top gear and around 30-40kmph often and also when I hold clutch some times
they took the test drive.. but they did some setting when engine cooled off.
i hope more knowledgeable guys reply to this.Lets put a smile on your face

it happened with me too.........Originally posted by terrordrone View Postspoke too soon...
it switched off while riding today..
someone please tell what might be the issue ?
but it happened when i washed the bike may be there was a drop of water that went to the injection system and that caused all this cuz with me it happened after the wash only....so it happened after the wash or without it?????
what happens is the engine behaves like its not gettin the fuel makes the same noise as it makes during the "missing" of the bike and dies......
but starts after the single self...The Magician"

yea.. it starts after a single self tho
hope it doesnt turn into anything serious..
is this common to all FIs? or all RTRs ? or us a lucky few ?
hope its not one more addition to the 'dont worry its normal' list.Lets put a smile on your face

gave the bike to the SC (Sreehari) to fix the issue... hope it gets fixed, cos tomorrow am going for the ARE.Originally posted by Trigger View Postmy bike (fi) has been getting hotter than usual now, just a few minutes in traffic and i can feel the heat on my legs. the strange thing is that the petrol tank also gets hot. abnormally hot. has anyone faced a similar prob?
happened with me too... I have told the SC guys about that... lets see...Originally posted by terrordrone View Postthe bike just switched off and there was no response to throttle input..
The mechanic at the SC says you can wash the bike as you would do for any other bike... even when I specifically asked him if FI would have some issue with water, he said 'no problem'Originally posted by rennycornelius View Postbut it happened when i washed the bike may be there was a drop of water that went to the injection system and that caused all thisActa non verba

mine always behaved like that after the washing.........i still think the water may be the culprit....
