      Good going, mate.You surely have become a torchbearer for most of the people around here.Now people know what they need to do!!

      I never had a bitter experience with TVS service in last 6 and 1/2 years.It's all about getting the work done by one way or the other instead of cribbing.My bike(Victor) faced a silencer rusting problem where the end cover went off and i had to ride the bike which sounded like a free-flow.Just a visit to the svc and a talk with the manager did the job.The svc guys replaced it and as there was waiting period for the replacement i had to wait for a month.Even my fuel tank was replaced by the dealer ppl even if my bike was not covered under warranty(I never expected this).Service is what TVS really knows but thanks to some ignorant fellas they screw it up and in the end the blame comes up to the company.TVS really need to look to give proper training to those fellas and spruce up their spare parts inventory/availability if they want the top perch in customer satisfaction.

      I never beat the drums out here about TVS service because i saw many ppl complaning about it but thanks to apar,the cat has come out of the closet!!

      Now you guys know why am i touted as the "biggest TVS fan" around!!

      • Xinfii, I do agree on the details you mentioned, but I do not expect SBK level treatments for my bike, just what a product worth 75K deserves. If this problem had cropped an year or two after usage, then I would not have got so frustrated, but its just a freaking 300km old bike man!

        @All: How much have u guys really revved the RTR Fi to? I tried to rev this bike as much as possible yesterday night in 3rd gear and the max it reached was 11,500 rpm after which it started cutting off like the rev-limiter kicking in! Is this the limit?

        P.S: Dont ask me the speed I did, I did not look at the speedo at all.

          @All: How much have u guys really revved the RTR Fi to? I tried to rev this bike as much as possible yesterday night in 3rd gear and the max it reached was 11,500 rpm after which it started cutting off like the rev-limiter kicking in! Is this the limit?

          I have taken the carb to 11.5 at 4th gear.... it was doing about 110 i guess... and I was wondering why the bike is behaving so weird only to realize that there was a gear left!

                    I just got it. I got SMS then an e-mail and then a call as well. But, I thought thats just for me.

                    With Yamaha all am getting is from Bussan Auto Finance alerting me about when the loan payment is due. Not service remainder!

                        yours done only 450 so i think it didnt reached the end of the tacho!!!!!!

                        mine,when completed 1500 touched the "12 in 2,3 and 4 gear.......
                        and after that it regular visits to 12000 zone

                        i dont remember the speeds though....

                        • Hi guys , i want to convert my 2 small parking light in front from Alternator current to direct Battery current . It should be like that when i ON the bike and engine aint running but the parking light switch is on they should light up . is it a easy job ??? will the TVS service people do it?? how much will it cost ??

                              • Hi Guys, just got my 2 month old (4000kms approx) yellow RTR refresh modified today. Got the rear sprocket changed from the stock 44T to a 37T (RXG'S). No other parts changed, just the rear sprocket. Got it for Rs.120. Fitting at Rs. 30 extra. The first thing I noticed is that there is a very slight drop in initial pickup, though the gearing has become a lot taller. I am now able to go to speeds at 1000rpm lesser than the stock. So, i am now able to go at 60 kmph at 4000 rpm instead of 5000 rpm approx. The ride has become a lot smoother and I am experiencing virtually no vibrations at all. The top speed has come down to about 112 but i dont care about that since i normally cruise around 80-90 kmph. In city, I am hardly able to put the bike into 5th gear, since i get to 70 kmph in the 4th gear itself with the engine going at 4500 rpms. Can't tell anything about the mileage yet, but it will definitely have decreased from the 50kmpl that it was giving me.
                                The only concern is that i have no idea what effect this change will have on the engine and clutch. Tried asking my mechanic, but didnt get any satisfactory response from him. Got any ideas?
