    I was told that WD40 is harmful to motorbike chains. Although you get varying views about it on the net, its better to stay away from it.

      Id taken Raccoon's advice from the engine oil thread and bought a 500ml can of Castrol SAE90 Manual Gear Oil.
      It does a superb job of lubing the chain and at 100 bucks is an extremely economic proposition as well

      Do check up with the oil experts Raccoon and KP on the engine oil thread to see if it would be alright to use on O-ring chains.

        no, not on very small ones. moderate to large bumps cause more of a dull, clanging sound. pretty sure it is the cone set based on my previous bikes. not at all like something in the fairing. somewhere in the region of the upper and lower triple clamps. not from very low down in the suspension either.

          over 80% of WD40 is made up of petroleum products that harm the O-Ring seals and it is not suggested for applying on an o-ring chain.


          ok so i've to stop using it and clean the chain with kerosene instead.....i thought it'll be gettin into the inners of the chain well.........

                the 'thud thud' noice also comes when you go over to the patholes whn ur handle is loose....

                    Mera bike got a new silencer. RTR refresh silencer.

                    With this my warrenty ttl Amt has gone upto 35k
                    Ada paavi another speedometer....??sathish u couldve asked for Fi exhaust...It sounds grunty than the refresh...

                        U can use SAE 90 W Oil + some Multi Purpose Grease for lubing non O-ring chains. Works like a charm
                        When everything comes ur way, u r in the wrong way ;)
