So what you're saying is that unlike non-LED bikes where they have one filament for the brake light and one for the tail light, the rtr system is to use a resistor to reduce the total current passed to the light so it glows dimmer and when the brake is pressed it passes through the wire without the resistor and glows at full brightness ?

how is it implemented in other bikes with LED tail lights then ? the tvs system seems very crude. why not have the resistor inside the tailight assembly itself ?

                • wer is your manual dude ? Didn't you get it? I changed the time the very same night I got it!

Set console to ODO mode not showing trip meters or any other thing.
Press & hold the top button (set) for few seconds to change clock timing to 12 or 24 hour format.
Press and hold 'mode' bottom button for few seconds to enter the clock changing mode.
Press 'set' to increase the hours.
TO access minutes, press 'Mode' and for few seconds again.
Press 'set' to increase minutes, while minutes are blinking.
                  Press 'mode' to exit.

ok i tried directly connecting the taillight wire to the wiring harness without the extra jugaad section with the resistor and it seems to be working just like before. so whats the issue ??

also one more query, since you're running the 55/60 headlight through a relay, i wanted to know if you think it's doable on the FI too. I mean it should be the same but the FI has more freaky electronics so is it a big risk ? btw, i have wired a 100/90 watt headlight via relays in a friends cbz so i know how it's done. also, the FI does run with the battery disconnected too, one kick and it's all cool. so should i go ahead and try it ?

p.s. i used a bosch mini-relay, actually two of them, one for each beam, the kind that's used for cars (SPDT). but on your blog you seem to have used a combo relay which seems to be designed for motorcycles having one output to each beam (DPST). can you provide details on the brand/model ?

You can try Power Crest in Vyalikaval. They do a very good job for all bikes. Pretty reasonable as well.
