  • 60/55 Watt bulb over stock 35/35 watt

Sad news for all Apache Owners, yesterday tried a 60/55 watt Phillips 12342 bulb in my RTR. There is no problem with idling, but the light is not up to the mark. Simply RTR magneto could not able to supply the required power. Even in higher rave range the light quality is not impressive, compare with a stock setup head to head, and in any way the stock is better then my setup, the quality, color and through length, in all aspect it is poorer then the stock.

Need to switch to the stock.

Is there any other option left for better lighting? (No coil winding/HID)

Tvs alloy rims are not designed for tubeless tyres, a fact corroborated by TVS itself. alloys for tubeless tyres are designed in such a way that they act as seals and prevent air from escaping.(For Example :in the same way pulsar 150 and 200's alloys look same but they are very different, 150's alloys cannot be used for 200's tubeless tyres)

better go for a soft compound tubed tyre.

        • ^^ TVS guys are doling out BS, You see many people are using tubeless tyres, me too. Initially I thought that the alloys are not designed but on assurances by the tyre dealer I switched to tubeless and frankly I don't regret.Currently using IRC 110 section tubeless in rear and 90 section MRF in front.

Now looking a puncture kit, 50 bucks for repairing a puncture is too much when it isnt big exercise to repair a puncture.

Why dont u try removing the pilot lamps and check. IIRC the 2 pilot lamps are 5+5 = 10 watts and the headlamp is 35 watts. So removing 10 watts and adding it up to the headlamp should be a bit better. Experienced guys like Santa, Joel can give better input!

Siverstar is available in ramkote. the person name is gyanesh - 9866660816. He told me his shop name which i couldn't resolve. Further he told me to come upto Punjab Hotel at ramkote and give him a call.

He was saying that silverstar won't fit in bikes. the price he quoted is 250/.
