Well, some basic stuff you need to remember while riding a new bike:
1. Always do a kick start the first time you use it in the day and let it idle for 15-30 sec.
2. Don't exceed 50kmph for the first 1000km as mentioned in the manual. Keep the RPM between 2K and 4K in all the gears. Taking good care of your bike in the running-in period is very vital and helps you in getting max mileage and engine life in the long run
3. If you get handle bar grips, make sure you get thin ones and that the clutch can be depressed fully.
4. Make sure you have 3+ liters of fuel all the time to ensure the smooth operation of the FI system.
Congratulations once again and please post your babe's pictures soon

it knocked again while accelarating from 4000 to 5000 RPM i was double, and was in 3 gear......Originally posted by rennycornelius View Postoff late i've noticed tht my bike is knockin more than usuall in summers whn i put it in sun or whn it runs 10-15kms....
it generally happens whn i give my bike a surge forward...(i'm always in right gear and at the right RPM so no high gear or low RPM are causin this...)
anyone experiencin the same....
what could be the issue????????

it has done 4500....i was doubting the tappets too as they're constantly makin ringing noice, they were loose initialy but i thing they're much more now.....
but i've one ques i dont trust the serv guys for this tappet setting and i have a good local mech who looked after my FIERO for 8 years...so will be goin to him for the settin.....will it be affecting the warranty cuz with FI i cant risk with the warranty as it surprises me with a new issues.......

Only 4.5k? there is one FI here which has done more than 20k and even all the FI system is replaced. His was one the bike from the inital booking days.
Abt the tappets. it will def void the warrenty but then if u have a very good understandable mech at the svc they wont mind
