    I just wanted to see what exactly is the difference in ur RTR. coz afaik all RTR dont do the exact speed at particular rpm's there is always a difference of 1-4kmph

      ^^That probably is b'cos of speedo error. But the normal speed shud be around 65 - 68 I guess. That means a good gain of atleast 7 - 8 kmph.

        BTW, my RTR FI does 66kmph in 5th gear at 5k rpm... man how does yours do 75?!

          ^^T refers to TEETH. The front sprocket on stock RTR is 13T(teeth). I swapped it with a R15 sprocket which is 14T(teeth) so the gearing gets taller!

              Hey Apar, i was waiting for you to post something after you mentioned that you were gonna try sprocketing a while back.

              I personally feel the rtr stock gearing is pretty much at the limit as it is, the response isn't very good with even a light pillion. You did mention the need to drop a gear when overtaking with the 14T. Well, i usually drop a gear, sometimes even two when overtaking. What i wanna know is how bad it is with a pillion with the 14T.

                Julian, I never felt such an issue man!! I always felt that the RTR was too short. Never felt the requirement to drop a gear....EVER. Whack the throttle and the bike always seemed to find the right power band. And am yet to test the pillion capabilities with the new sprocket...

                    Hmm, maybe riding style has something to do with it. Or maybe i'm just expecting too much from a 160. anyway, with my fi, i feel that shorter gearing is required in high-load situations like when going up a slope with a pillion. But since i usually ride solo, moving to a 14T could be worth a try. I guess i will actually have to check for myself. lemme know how the pillion experience is anyway.

                    my fi is no way underpowered compared to other rtrs/fi; i've tested a few. but now your post has got me thinking, could my fi not be setup as optimally as yours?

                            @Aparajit : Where u got the R15 front teeth? Is it a direct fit, or you need to drill any hole onto it? What is the cost for the teeth?

                            BTW how was the pickup, is it as before or better?

                              i read tht cutting one tooth from the front sproket has the same effect as cutting two from the rear so if one will be putting 42 at the rear will it have the same results.....

                              @apar i think now you'll acheive 138 or so at the top....

                              but tht'll effect 0-60 timings by some milliseconds....plz tell me the timing and the top speed....

                                Not cutting tooth from front sprocket buddy, adding extra tooth in front is nearly equivalent to 2 at rear. 42/13>42/14
                                similarly, 42/13<44/13

                                Before anyone ask, numerator is rear sprocket teeth, denominator is front sprocket teeth, and ratio is called final drive ratio.
                                There's lot to it other than saddle....
