    Julian do u find any similarities between my problem and the last two prob reported here, kind of same apart from the plug color. My plug is totally oily black after the decarb job.

    Good news got a call from TVS regional office at Kolkata, any they will work on my bike on Tuesday. Fingers crossed,

    • today went to s.k.tvs delhi meet service engineer there ,told him problems of my bike he promised to rectify them , really very humble man, all those in delhi looking for good service center for tvs must visit this service center once but don`t give your bike to any mechanic other than devinder he is good other are........you must go to other service center

        My bike also suffer from this issue. Whenever i am riding wit a pillion ( both of us weigh less than 55), the pickup reduces and bike hesisates to climb up the rpm.
        But the bike is really good to ride solo. Though the vibrations and tappet sound is high from abt 60 - 75kmph.

          My Apache RTR is the first model 2008 already be in my single country version there until the Refresh version.
          I would like to know which is the Ralenti configuration for both screws, the air (gold) and of fuel (within the carburetor).

            the excessive drop in power sounds like a jetting issue, but it could also be a wrong tappet setting if they've messed it up. the bike will sound right but will hesitate to pick up good speeds.

            in your case, there seems to be plug fouling primarily because of oil leakage but in addition, there could also be a rich mixture condition.

            bikes not pulling properly with a pillion could also mean an excessive lean mixture. it's hard to diagnose any problem sitting at a pc, nothing like a proper diagnosis by a proper mech. since many people are not getting proper support from tvs svcs i would suggest taking the bikes to an outside mech to diagnose the issue, then take it back to the svc to get the work done. the mechs are probably just inexperienced and not qualified enough. nothing else.

              Try adjusting the chain, with a pillion it lots its free play therfore the pickup reduce, check your manual for chain adjustment.

                    Foot pegs- 250 Rs each.
                    Visor- 250-300 RS.
                    Headlight housing + front indicator - 550-600 Rs
                    Headlight- (SVC Guys told me Rs1000 approx.)
