      • new Injector Report (500 kms)

The new injector which i got replaced under warranty is performing good.........

yesterday i took it for good 30kms thrashing...

actually i was very much happy with it's performance but all that was in city riding only and the redlining was done at the traffic light GP's...

so after about 5 kms of warming up the engine i took it to the highway...

        1. The engine felt smooth throughout the rev range though now power is goin off after 10100 RPM....earlier it used to fall down after 10700...

        2. 2 gear felt much nice and after holding the gear at 5000 for 5-10 sec i twisted it and it litrellay TOOK OFF....it was quite diff from the previous injector as it pulled more cleanly till 10000 rpm and the bike was as usually turning into mad massaging machine between 5200-6500....

        3. it was very windy eve so top speed achieved by me was 118 fully crouched after that i ran into a heavy traffic...5 was cogged after pulling the bike to 10000 in 4.

        4. it felt more smooth at 7000 RPM than the previous injector and cruising at 100-110 felt more relaxed too.

overall it's worth the change and i urge you guys to go to SC and get ur injector changed to the silver one...

APAR da go get it done....

Sprinta and MOTUL 5W40 are equally good. I filled Sprinta before the trip. At Leh the bike was down by some 300 - 350 ml of oil, which I topped with MOTUL fully synth. So both are equally good. Nothing to gripe about in either of them!

@Renny: Thanks and wonderful report. I will get it done ASAP!!!

            • "Hola" Gentlemen,
The Yamaha FZ is a few days ago in Colombia and has a great image.
I have a question: Someone says to me that the maximum speed (Top Speed) is 130-135 Kph and I answer him that according to BikeIndia.in and other magazines is 110 Kph, (similar to the UNICORN) you, who are the creators of both machines, which is true? Can FZ be more rapid (faster) than an Apache RTR with or without FI?
The Yamaha is very refined, stable, soft to drive and nice but, is better than the Apache in the Racing performance?
After 2000-3000 Kms of tour is FZ done faster?

Thank you very much for giving me your knowledge and opinions with base in the experience and knowledge.

yup the missing problem will be missing after new injector kit, but top end will decrease don`t know why, felt this in my friend`s bike also

& comparing performance of rtr & fz 16 is like comparing cheese & chalk

                    MRF Meteor has two sizes - 100/90 - 18 and 110/xx - 18.

The 100/90 itself is bigger and heavier than the stock tyre. Don't try the 110 size. It might touch the swingarm or chain cover. We had to align the 100/90 carefully so it won't touch the sides. Little loss in pickup... 2-3 KMPL less in mileage - little tall geared and very good grip - no scary moments in rain

@Satish, when you rode Vishnu's bike the rear tyre was misaligned. Ride it now... it feels a lot better. I got it aligned.

FZ is for posing and taking up the long tours. If it is horse, RTR is beast. and regarding rear tyre, 110/80 is best one to get hands on. MRF zapper -Q is great. But i think is available in 110/90. If interested in zapper-Q, put in 120/80. it will result in increase of overall 6mm wall height over RTR rear drum, and 16mm over RTR rear disc.

                        yup..
                        i'll recommend the 110/80 too...

120/80 will be little big for the machine and will look little outta proportion too....

I need a help. I lost my RTR Fi's toolkit. Can someone post the items present in the kit with a pic or something! Or do you guys know if it is available separately at TVS showrooms? Else I have to buy the items separately and assemble them.
