ive had the nightbreaker for a couple of months now and i dont have any problems. No dimming, no issues with the horn, etc. Check your wiring. The light spread is very very good, with the high beam its even better. Yeah it does take a couple of seconds to warm up though but after that its ready to go. Make sure to start the bike with the light off as well.Originally posted by bikerboyjoe View PostI've changed my headlight to osram nightbreaker 60/55 yesterday. The first thing I observed is that the light o/p is not that great, also it takes a 1-2 secs to turn the light full bright while running. When I turns by headlamp on, all the other electricals goes dim for a moment.
Hmm, the issue I'm thinking is the RTRs alternator is not that powerful to supply the higher wattage bulbs full demand. The lamp performs very well while with flash(ing), its from battery. Anybody here faced this issue? any workarounds other than a rewinding and stuff??

how do u unscrew the tank and lift it up?Originally posted by rennycornelius View Postthe drain pipe's routing is trapped under the weight of the petrol tank, my new bike had the same issue...
the service guy will tell you that it's blocked, but actually it's trapped under the tank...
unscrew the tank lift it up, and re-route it.
your body is with P220 but soul is with the ARE TEE ARE!!!!!!!!!

open the seat you'll see the single golden colour screw holding the tank, open it fully, then lift the tank from front (it is rested upon two black round rubbers) then slide it rearwards, then you'll see a blakish grey pipe trapped...re-route it and your prob will be solved.Originally posted by RedApple View Posthow do u unscrew the tank and lift it up?The Magician"

today when i put the key in after college meter refused to self check and start .it was blank . kick started and meter also came to life . horn was also reduced to a whimper below 6k Rpm . had to ride at 6K+ . if i used horn at less than 2k rpm , the bike engine was skipping the firing and it felt like when reserve comes .
whats the problem ? i dont even use e-start in mornings and everything is stock

Hi guys.. ( long time no post
)
I had taken my bike on a fast ride.. top speed it showed was 132
( yea you read it right.. 132 ) and i was 120+ for a long stretches.. (continuously for some 10-15+ mins ) and had many such stints..
ever since my mileage has dropped by 10-15 kmpl ..
was getting 48 kmpl before and now im getting only 35..
and after a recent service .. im getting 40 kmpl now..
if it was some 2-3 kmpl i would not have cared.. but this is something noticable..
what might be the issue ? what should i ask the service guys to check..
they said everything is fine.. and everyone gets max of 40-42.. which i obviously dont believe.. since i was getting 48+ before that.. also i measure kmpl from full tank to full tank using taking up 12-13 lts.. so there are no fluctuations..
please help
i have a apache rtr 160 fi btw..Lets put a smile on your face

There are other copies of this so called ABS, see thisOriginally posted by indianz_alive View PostRTR 180 FI was always on the cards...
ABS was also in news right when RTR160Fi was being waited.
I hope the ABS can be installed in existing RTRs too, and also, this ABS to be true ABS and not just any pressure regulator which are rumored in market as "Mechanical ABS", courtesy: Saferide ABS

I am thinking of trying out a 41T rear...37T would be an overkill i guess...I do a lot of touring..i would be really happy to cruise at 70kmph at 4000RPM..is this possible with a 41T rear??Originally posted by ravs View PostI tried it.... Fitted a 37T at the rear. The bike became butter smooth cus I was doing 80kmph at 4000rpm. But the bike would struggle to go beyond 110. required more stretch of road to do that. The pickup also reduced but still could match the pulsar 150.
Later I tried with the front sprocket. Got an extra tooth added to the front with stock rear.
Pickup died out considerably. also i used to feel that while trying to get more pickup, it would feel as if there was considerable strain on the engine. Sometimes i could hear a knocking sound also.
I am now back to the original factory setting, and loving it all the way. All the vibbes are back but THAT is the character of the RTR. The power throughout the RPMs is remarkable again. I find the stock sprockets more to my liking since I can have power when I need it and economy when I need it. No need to change anything.1986 SUZUKI AX100R

Anna.....hardly a difference of 500bucks between RTR180 and RTR FI. Both of them cost around 75k. RTR carb is around 69k and 1k extra for yellow. Same goes for white too.Originally posted by Sarvajit View Post@Hyd RTR owners: What are the prices of the RTR 160&RTR 160 Fi? One of my friends is going to buy soon. It will be his first bike. No idea as to when the 180 FI would be launched and its price.
Digi speedo should be around 2-3k rs and Shocks are 3.5k a pair (both approx)Originally posted by apacherenator View PostCan anyone quote me the Prices of

go to the SC and tell him to open the tank and lift it up...
there you'll find bundle of wires wrapped inside a blackish tape...
open the tape and it's 80% possibility of one wire in them (the one taking current supply to the speedo ) has lost it's outers and its exposed...
wrap it up using a tape and your problem will be solved....The Magician"
