just change the left RVM and the indicator alone. You can probably get the gear shifter straightened and just touch up the sareegaurd and the crash gaurd with black paint at a local paintwala!

So the speedometer hub unit (worm) went out AGAIN! ...it just went out last year...are these things really that unreliable? i had to pay 347 Rs to get it replaced this morning. The service advisor told me that its not covered under warrenty, what kind of crap is that? lol.

Satish, after reaching home I didn't sleep as usual and went to the SC around 11 in the morning. There the boyz were not having lot of work at that time. I just took a new gear shifter (554 rs) and replaced both RVMs for the price of 1 (130 rs). total bill was 684 rs and its the last time of the month, so total financial trouble for me. But I cant see her crying.

I changed the gear shifter assembly because I was in doubt that my gears will run hard with the jugaad things like trying to make the gear shifter straight again. And may be I just wanted to forget that incident by changing all related items to the crash.

ahhh.....nothing like getting a new part in the bike. Its always a better option if you have enough money to repair ur babe

to day i fall down while doing a wheelie.and my rtr fi got some damages.while i am returning to my home at 11.00pm i desided to do a power wheelie.and i put the rtr in first gear.and i got an ideya to do in second gear .so i moved bike for awhile in first gear about 10kms speed and gas the throttle and closed the rear brake and released the clutch and the wheel pops about 70-80 degree in that time i changed the gear to second one .with in the fraction of a second my bike pops like hell.and the rear fender ,tail light, grab rails, are scratched on the road and making huge sound.a i did not able to control the bike.and the imapct is first time in my life.i forget the rear brakesat last i fall down on the road. my rtr rolles for a moment and fall down.but gods grace i didnt get any hard ingurys.and i took the bike and go for home and i inspect the bike .the head light viser broken side stand hub totaly bend. gear pedal bend tail light glass broken.pls any one help me to how we do stunts in the bike .my only ambition is to became a good stunter in future and forms a good stunt team pls every one help me i am badly needs your hands

Hi!!i would be requiring your expert opinion to finalise my apache...
just want to decide betwenn rtr160 and rtr160 fi..... The amount difference is approx 10000.
Let me tell about myself: I am 33yrs., it will be my first bike, i am 5"6 and 65 kgs. Mine will be mainly city driving. Also yif you want to suggest some alternative, i will consider it.

Another thing i want to know is that what all should i check at the time of delivery? As have read in the blogs,
the tires are of inferior quality, can they be exchanged or i'll have to buy new?
the headlight bulb?
and all your suggestions...please let me know asap as i have to buy this week..

I think this is the most common damages like in most accident cases thth gear pedal/lever/shifter get bend . Last year even i face same thing my bike was new(4days and 200kms old) whn i had my first and last fall ....even i noticed that bikes gear shifter got bend ..? i mean i dont wana say its prblem but i just wana say its the most common damage after accident in most of RTR's .

I would suggest the carb version, but would also suggest you wait for sometime, as the new lot is rumored to have some 23 internal changes!

How can we replace alloys under incurance claim.I mean do they get directly replaced or there must be some damage........

since you can buy a RTR Fi have you looked at the RTR 180 ? its a much better option . only thing would be the lesser mileage .

but one thing i will suggest you is to wear a full face lid (in you avatar you're not wearing one,that too while doin a wheelie, which is foolishness),get yourself a proper racing suit (otherwise a good jacket with jeans) complete with knee and elbow guards and gloves.


180 is cheaper than FI and provides more bangs per bucks....
go for it.

My body build and my requirements are the same like you.
I'm owning the RTR 180 from last month. It will be good VFM bike.
It is slightly cheaper than 160 FI.
