Story started when i went with my fren to check RE classic 350 n 500.. By then got news that electra and std out fo production. Customer has to choose between cl350, cl500 and thunderbird.

flattened. thunderbird. Small TR n believe me i went completely blank. no looking back.

classic kinda uncomfy with those seats. i have heard complaints bout B*M paining after 50 KMs or so. was ready to compro with that but waiting periof from 4 to 5 months. absolutely no no..

What to do booked thunderbird the next week. waiting period 30 days to 45 days. But sales guy has promised me to deliver it in 25 days, counting the money daily keeping it in safe. and again dreaming.

Thanks for all the support and suggestions while i was Fi owner.

U guys rock. Hats off to ya.

      • Unbelievable!! Even my bike has a misaligned mudguard!! Curious to know, anybody has a properly aligned mudguard here??

@amitpriya and indianz_alive, I think that's what a crash can do to your bike... I had to sell my fiero for the same reason, it used wobble like hell at 60kmph!!!

Yeah but dont u think 5 months of waiting period on bikes is kinda too much.. Ven i had been to book the bike in 1st week of jan i saw a guy who has booked the bike in month of nov and had come to enquire. Still i could sense that disappointment in his face, People will either settle for TBTS or they vil buy a seocnd hand ..

i would say 1 month is fine. or 50 days is fine. 120 to 160 days is just too much. If they cant meet end user needs then whats the point. same thing happening with tata nano. though its a good middle class car waiting period has killed it big time.

Eeven my example. when i went to book a car swift dzire was in waiting period of 5 months. and diesel 8 months. i bought petrol swift.

          • Hey Torq how much u got for ur Efi..? 55k..?
Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.

              She gave him Rs.500 though.

hehehe....funny, I once had a crash on my splendor coz of a chick. I was standing in traffic. A chick behind me on her dio came very close and was waiting beside me in the process she managed to get a big scratched on her sidepanel from my splendors silencer. As soon as the traffic started to clear she whacked the throttle and the next thing i know, i was lying on the road with my splendor lieing above me and my one leg of dio's stand.

My jean got stuck with her dio's main stand somehow and she kinda dragged me for a feet or two. I was thanking my star's that my jean did come off

I had a small hairline fracture on my right wrist though!

ya i know waiting period is just too long, but that 500 classic is just too hard to resist!!!!!!! but thunderbird is as cool.

i know dezire deisel that too in white colour kept the customers waiting, and many mag even highlighted this.

                  • Bhai log, I am going on a long ride tomorrow, Is their a quick way to upgrade the lights? as in a simple bulb replacement to a higher wattage bulb?

Also any known issues during long rides in RTR?

                        • Riding to Konkan via ghats(NH 17) so I think Legs might not go numb thanks to frequent gear shifting that might be needed

But yes now that you have pointed out I am a bit worried about the vibrations :|

@hsinava- Because they are made of very hard coumpund which makes them cheap & long lasting both of which work in favor of TVS

                          • @Techno: If you keep the RPM above 6500 it will be smooth as a butter That is what i do

all the best for the ride bud!
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

Always be ready (get geared) to fall and then think of sitting on the motorcycle.
