A round rubber thing goes into this to keep the shield from rattling. This support piece has three holes in it which are unthreaded. So if you want to put three extra screws into this, which would look pretty wierd anyway, you will need to use three nuts below them too. Give it a try anyway and see how you like it. You can always fit the shield back if you don't like it. Personally i it looks much better without the heatshield after fixing the black screws even though the center piece is visible.
Ya the supporter thing i noticed too, will be opening it and add the screws tomorrow.

    • @rennycornelius: It is looking good.
One piece of advice about the clip ons, if you do get them closer to the tank, you will surely find the horn button touching the tank when you are locking the handle. I would prefer pushing it away from the tank&getting a more sporty riding position, like the R15 has.

Actually i measured the distance and after getting them close to the tank the horn and starter button wont brush against the tank,i wanted them near the tank as it would have looked more good in the "A" shape and it would have provided more upright sitting posture too.

but the problem i i cannot make it into that position, to do so i've to get the triple clamp plate leth'ed to a new hole, and that should be very precise, which i doubt.

Yes, I doubt it too-maybe better to stick to stock settings.
Btw, yesterday I saw this bumper black product yesterday when I was at a paint shop (buying rubbing compound&polish for my car)
Its used on cars with black bumpers to make the rubber shine&remove scratches-maybe you could try that for the clamp area which you have made black now.

I rubbed the thing again with the rubber but the glossy finish is not going, plus the scratches which are there even by the finest of the sandpaper are not vanishing, best is i'll buy that 180's clamp when it'll arrive as for 100 bucks it's just too cheap.

                    • Heat Shield Removed

I removed the heat shield of the silencer today, the exhaust is sporting more clean look now with three brackets of silencer holder visible, but they ain't looking bad.

No damages as such, there will be scrathes from the pillions leg, but still that will look more good than that badly designed heat shield.

It si not that bad at all, you may go for a matt black stickering.

But without it the silencer is looking far more perfect.
