      • guys please suggest me which one will be more good - motul 300v 10w40 or petronas 5000 10w40, motul is more costly so does it means that motul is more better than petronas

If you get the 10W40 300V then go for it with eyes closed

Petronas provides value for money as it's priced quite well for a FS oil. Also many RTR owners swear by it.

Between the fully synth Motul and Petronas there is not much to choose from.... Both are equally awesome! Choose the one for ur budget. I use MOTUL as I do not get Petronas that easily here...

Solution: Go to the svc there is a small metallic film kind of a thing (3rs) that can be used and lasts for decent while creating tension
Solution2: Let it eat the assy, and then a bill of some 3k for the assy and incase you are lucky, damage to crank and what not.

PS: Variyan TVS sucks, they saw the issue and didnt report it... I got a new stator plate assy and oneway clutch and gear fixed due to another issue, and the bastards fixed it too hard... killing everything inside! (all the issues mentioned above)
I had got a call from some 12 year old kid from TVS Bengaluru, who couldnt understand what the problem was. Then I had to begin reciting it like a poem and she adviced me to go back to the SVC and ask them to solve the problem.

I had already got the bike fixed in Mumbai... a month back... a ass whooping bill of 10K over a list of things replaced. (This over and above the 5.5K bill paid @ Variyan)

On inspection, it appears as if variyan tvs duped me of parts, the starter clutch which they say was replaced was broken inside the bike... the parts were not of RTR either.

Now I got a call from the SVC again, asking if I was happy with thier service... I said I wasnt... and told them the same story again.
She said if its fixed now then no issues.... to which I responded yeah it means no issues to you, but what about me having to pay 5.5k for parts which will go bust only in 150KMs thanks to a stupid mechanic!
I asked her would you atleast share the cost? She advised me to talk to the manager.... who is transfered the line, and expects me to tell the entire episode again to him!!! Whatever happened to telephone etiquetes?

I am happy with my RTR, but shit unhappy with Variyan TVS and the hopeless\hapless "customer service" agents and service managers @ TVS.

though i hate it, but i love the GROWL it produces during the missing.

                      • Anyone have changed rear suspension bushes? Original are not available here at any service centre in mumbai (I enquired at innovative, Priyanka) Ashwini TVS said they do have, but not sure of originality. I replaced the bushes with aftermarket once, but they gave way in 4-5k kms.

                        Note: Originals lasted for 25k

                              • Just hit some ~102kmph in 3rd gear while returning home from office. Did'nt notcie what rom it was, but it was hovering abv 11k. Am doing this after almost an year

had my first crash or rather fall yesterday on the RTR. A blind gladiator guy rammed into me from behind while i was waiting for the traffic ahead of me to clear. My bike fell slowly, tried to save it from falling but had to let it fall to save myself being hurt. Was soo pissed off at the idiotic fellow, i would probably have hit him had my bike been damaged. heck, a girl before him on a activa stopped in time and this hero could'nt!

lifted the bike, no scratches execpt for few dots on the crash gaurd, silencer pate and the barend weight. they are not much visible! I just asked that bugger to leave before i lose my cool...!
