    Just now i changed my oil during service from TVS. I will change to semi synthetic after 1K kms.

      One another question

      One another question. sorry for my ignorance this is my first bike with a modern engine and i am still getting used to the new way of riding.

      Saturday i am going to vellore from chennai (140Kms approx) and i would like to use my bike. how will the bike fare? I mean can i countinuously cruise at 70 - 85? (I would not prefer more than 85/90 for long durations).
      In my old bullet anything above 60 for long durations was harmful.

      Also the gear shift tend to be hard some times, but i feel its getting smooth. Another concern is disc brake(TVS service person removed air lock during last week's service and from then it became hard to pull the lever) which is very hard to pull and bites in all of a sudden.

          Bike ran for 5800 KMs, it is a second hand one July 2009 model and was not used for the last 2 months or so. I bought it last week, serviced and drove for 350 kms, say 100 before service and 250 after service.

            Warmt up for minute, if you start in morning, ride at 50-55 for a km or so then just say "GO BABY GO".
            You can keep it at 9k-10k till vellore.
            There's lot to it other than saddle....

              How much can i fetch for a RTR which is,

              Bought: April 2008


              kms: 17k (approx)


              replacements: none

              (my friend's bike)
              A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

              Always be ready (get geared) to fall and then think of sitting on the motorcycle.

                                30k for a RTR? damn!!! thats very low

                                My mechanic was ready to buy my old 2005 discover dtsi for 25k.
                                A good price should be around 35-40k
