    RTRs dont have a good resale value in this part of the world, thanks to two things
    1) Known to be a bike which will be surely used\abused a lot
    2) The spares arent available everywhere and hence the issue#1 becomes even more of a problem

    lol I sold my i wonder how many years old passion for 28k

    Dont over react on point 2 though, I will use the analogy that WinZee gave to me once.

    On thier Leh trip, Rachit (ZMA) Gopi (RTR) and WinZee (P150) had to relube and service somewhere.
    Attitude of HH guy
    - Premium customer, made to stay in AC, lets fleece him good!

    Attitude of TVS guy
    - Some tools not available, made to wait and done a decent job

    Attitude of the Bajaj guy
    - Why they hell are you here for such a small job, you better go to a roadside mechanic who has both the tools, the spares and most importantly the time to do this chota mota work!

      If it would have been HH RTR, with just those 2 golden letters itched on the engine andtank and it would have fetched 45000-48000....

          yeah man.. people sell fiero (suzuki) for 25k now and rtr for the same price
          A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

          Always be ready (get geared) to fall and then think of sitting on the motorcycle.

              Guys,
              Does sprocketing the front have any adverse effect on the bike?
              If not, then how much should be the ideal no tooth in the front?
              I want a balance of pick up increase and top speed increase..
              Stock RTR has 13 in the front.Right?
              And also do i have to remove or add links in the chain in order to accomodate the different sprocket ratio..?

                Shaving the tooth from the front is equal to shaving two from rear, that's it.
                The more you'll shave (max 2-4) the better top end you'll get at the serious cost of acceleration and the more you'll add will give you better acceleration at the cost of efficiency and top speed.

                  Wrong! Adding in front or subtracting from rear will give better top speed and fuel efficiency, reducing acceleration and subtracting from front or adding in rear will give better acceleration at cost of top speed anf fuel efficiency.
                  There's lot to it other than saddle....

                        My point was:

                        if the rear is the stock and if i'am gonna shave one tooth off the front then it'll be same as maintaining the stock front and shaving off two from the rear.

                        If the front is stock and shaving the tooths from the rear will increase top speed, thereby keeping the overall RPM of the bike low, thus better fuel efficiency, and if the front again is stock and if i'am gonna add tooths to the rear, it'll give me better acceleration and lower top speed.

                        more tooths in front= better top speed (with stock rear)
                        Less tooth in front= better acceleration(with stock rear)

                        i cleared all my sproaketing doubt with my HERO's 18 geared cycle

                            If you dont want to lose current acceleration, and balanced output, stick to stock.
                            There's lot to it other than saddle....
