  • Been using Castrol 90 grade oil for the past 2 yrs and am yet to finish the 2nd bottle (500ml ones). have used it both on my P220 and RTR. I lube the chain whenever i see it dry, and thats abt 300-450kms interval. I use TVS chain spray(dont remember when i bought it) whenever am on a ride and after every water wash!

      hmm.
      OK I will try.
Problem is people here are so dumb don't understand even what are the grades.

By the way, after using Castrol Activ 20w40, Engine feels much smoother and too much less overheated than before....So I am wondering what oil they gave me in the first place. :|
Well, if it goes good I will use it for upcoming 10K Kms.

Another thing: My Clutch Lever Paint is fadding up. Is it happening with all here? I read in some other blogs the same phenomena.....if it happens i will paint the levers with black spray.

2T oil can be used but its not that feasible. It will easily get washed away. The viscosity of 2T oil is very less.SAE 90 gear oil is very thick. This thickness is neccessary for lubrication of the chain. In this case,if you dont find the SAE 90 grade oil,any 'thick' oil will do.
And ,yes, this clutch ,brake lever paint fadding is taking place on my bike too!

Then Gonna use new engine oil. and lube the chain with~20ml after 20-25days. guess i can use one oil box for more than 6 months. [ yeah in my area there is much less dirt. ]

and paint fadding is common in RTR as it seems.... I am gonna paint it black as i mentioned before. Can't find ash paint... Yes my hyperedge is ash color.

How much the SAE 90 oil cost?
I prefer to use 2T oil as the oil is not so dense(thick) it will gradually wash away the dirt particles and keeps the chain lubricated.
I do it once in 2 weeks.

SAE 90 gear oil will cost around 40-50 bucks, but they are the local ones(oil will be Black in colour).Buy Castrol/Elf ones(golden coloured oil).It will cost around 95-100 bucks for a 500ml bottle I guess.

              • Well, today I faced Idling issue. :P
Just rode 12KM and at speed to 32-41KM/h, When I was home and left engine ideal, i say it idling at 2100RPM. and then adjusted it by the screw at 1100RPM. And Restarted engine saw it idling at 1200-1300RPM. It is not a big issue though.

Why Why Why ? Its idling rpm is at 2k because of over heating which is because of mineral oil being used.
Dont mess with the bike so early da.

I didn't mess bro. 2K idling seems too much. And I ride very gently....always upshift at 3K RPM and never crossed 45KM/h in this run in period i am carrying on.

And to your concern, I didn't feel much heat. though engine was idling at 2.1K RPM. I came to know it is common in many RTR. OK will see.

Dont go for NGK spark plugs on RTR.Its a waste of money.Stick to the stock spark plug.Stock ones are Bosch which are Twin electrode while the NGK ones are single electrode.

Except at Low RPM -Bike misfires. Low Rpm - Very Low Power. Main thrill comes after 3.5k RPM. But I haven't tried over 43KM/h. Very much eager to cross 2000KM.

Yes Brother. But Zipping Through the City traffic is more fun with HE. In my city roads are narrow and crowded and HE cuts through every edge with ease.
But I feel some nervousness because of TVS tyres listening to online reviews. Mine Grips well.
Main Thing is City Riding is a charm with it. I just dream of passing 2000KM. Can't do it upcoming two months. My semester final is ON.
