  • hey guys i recently did my 2nd bike service before the allotted kilometer of 2500km. Now after crossing 2600km service timer started blinking.
    Wont it stop automatically?
    How can I stop this?
Also if I stop myself will it effect in such a way that next time it wont even blink when its time for servicing?

press both buttons for 15-20 seconds , indicator will blink once then get switched off till the next service interval reminder . no issues whatsoever on doing it yourself .

      • RTR hyper edge Review

hey guys i need a brief Review of RTR hyper edge as one of my friend wants to buy RTR but he's confused between FZ Vs. RTR 160 . I personally own RTR - EFI and have clocked some 56000 kms till now but then i heard that hyper edge has some small changes in it ( small fixes and reduced Vibies) ...? and i have'nt got any test ride of this new RTR so please provide me some Info about VIBRATIONS .
Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.

        • Hello Xbhpians!

This is my first post in the forum. I've been contemplating a new bike. I am looking at 135LS and RTR because of the high revving nature of the engines and high power to weight.

Paid a visit to the respective showrooms and I like the "feel" of RTR ( over Pulsar, FZ or Hunk ). However, I have concerns about the long term reliability of the engine. I don't know which version (HE probably) I was shown, but with front disk and rear drum it costs about 69K on road here. I didn't took the test ride since I am recovering from back injury. Friends say the bike will put a lot of stress over the years on my back because of the riding posture, weight and the buzzy motor. Please advise.

My last bike was a HH Passion. Daily use of bike is low, about 5-10Km, however at weekends I ride with my friends and there is no limit. I would like to know the top cruising speed of a well maintained RTR.

I own RTR-HE and I'm very happy with the performance. Its true that the vibrations are not there. I have clocked till 90km/hr and I didn't feel any vibrations. Anyway ask ur friend to test ride to feel the same.

There is no comparison betwen FZ and RTR especially when it comes to HE.
Well here are something that i would like to share.

HE is far refined, less vibes and a good milage, FZ is nearby in milage somewhat.
Pickup...whoooooo the RTR brand itself says once u have a taste of it u wont like any other one, where as the FZ lags behind here
Top speed again HE excels here with FZ.
Handling, well i would say there is 19-20 differrence, but both are good.
HE comes with kick as well as self start whereas FZ comes with only self, so be prepared if u dont have batterry or if it is cold weather, u need to drag ur bike mannually and start in gear like humrara bajaj

Well pricing, here is the big question if you compare HE may cross a couple of thousands but its worth, what you get here.
FZ only excels here is in tyre, well it has got widest tyre, but hey check out new FZ they are following others strategy of cost cutting and lowering in quality, new FZs tyres width has been reduced

Lastly and not the least, what u r getting is 270MM rotor pedal disc brakes, the biggest in its class where no bike offers such, braking is really good.

Now you can compare only in looks where FZ excels, but they all are fabric issues which even you can resolve as graphics or slight modifications can be done by u only.

So think over, there u go cheers.......

                • My RTR 160.Some issues.

                  Hi all,

Got a chance to post after a long time. This is my first post after I got my bike. It has already completed 1300 kms. Happy with the performance. But it is vibrating slightly between 59 & 69 speed at 5th gear. After that it is perfect.

Another problem making me annoyed. Clutch is not working perfectly. Clutch function is not smooth. It's engaging suddenly. What can be the problem?

Otherwise I am happy with it.
                  Regards,

                  • need help

guys can anybody knows the valve clearance setting fig of rtr fi as after adjusting it ( in - 0.06mm & out - 0.08mm ) if start the bike, it make a horrible & loud tik-tik noise after that again opened the head cap i.e., the nuts and surprised to see the valves were extremely loose.
                    why is it so ?
is rtr fi 's valve clearance is different from carb rtr ??
is it normal for rtr that if you rip hard then it will start knocking even if riding in 5 th gear at a speed more than 50kmph and twist the throttle hard knocking starts ??

RTR's generally vibrate at that speed. Its normal.Get the clutch play adjusted by your mechanic or from ASC.The free play of the clutch should be 5-15mm before the clutch begins to disengage.

I'm really proud to be part of RTR family.......

I doubt there any Diffrance in Valve clearance For Efi its 0.6 for intake and 0.8 for Exhaust. i think u made mistake while adjusting valve's please get it corrected ASAP.

2> while adjusting Valve's both valve's shud be colsed .

I told you. You have set valves at overlap TDC. There is no overlap now.
                            Reset it at compression TDC.
