anyways here are the prices that i went for-

The total price excluding labour and the exhaust pipe mod* comes to around 3.8k.

was away in pune over the weekend, hence the late reply.

i don't get why people react so bad on a forum when someone says something they dont like. in real life would you slap a buddy for scolding you ?

i am an apache fan boy. but from what i can see, you just want all of us to bow our heads and accept that the TVS Apache has "annoying, obtrusive vibrations ". If that pleases you then we shall do the same. but please tone down that language.
what language are you talking about ? "moron" ? i believe that's english.
and haven't you seen enough posts in this very thread, leave alone forum, that prove that many people have an issue with the rtr vibes?
i don't give a rat's arse if you accept my POV or not, all i was saying is that a negative attribute which incidentally is also a problem is not 'character'. character refers to the positive qualities of something. people would know that if they actually learnt some english in the time they spent surfing this forum.

I now use an R15 and am getting the RTR Fi for my bro. Yeah the RTR has vibes. But then it atleast handles like a dream, starts running as if its ass were on fire from the word go. I could go on and on and on!!! I am not any fanboy of sorts. All I wanna say is, when I say its a character, its not because of a bad product. And I am not by any means a millionaire to throw away money just-like-that(chaltha hai). Also, I would be more than happy, if you show me a bike(made by Indian companies) that does not have vibes. Anything more on this topic might invite flame. BTW, any moron would get an orgasm on the RTR, not because of the vibes, but of the beautiful exhaust note, performance and handling. And if the vibes help, noone compains. Thanks.

P.S: U agree or not, TVS are improving.... A LOT. Their RTR-Fi is a huge improvement over the RTR with regards to vibes, performance et al. And if u feel the vibes as in issue, please dont buy it or ride it. Atleast we as a group of owners, do not mind the vibes.
Sighhh !! Aparajith, i didn't call YOU a moron. I thought using that word would trigger a thinking reaction about the attitude people have wih accepting mediocrity and justifying problems as 'interesting bits'. seems i was wrong. all it has done has started a flame war and for that i am truly sorry. but i had to say it after repeated use of the 'char...' damn, i really hate that word now.

tvs might have improved, but that's no consolation for putting out a 75k bike on which pillions cannot keep their feet at high rpms. it is a street bike at the end of the day and if it was meant only for racing maybe a single seat and more track oriented features would be appropriate. i would go so far as to say that the rtr (atleast my FI) has the worst vibrations of ANY bike in india. and i have ridden most of them.

yes, the other good bits are why i have still kept the bike today, it's probably the most fun i have had on any bike after my RD.

Dude tone down your arrogance on the post, I have an RTR, have had an Avenger, and an HH Passion... apart from these I also had access to a zillion other bikes... but just the thing that I dont have is an reason to convince you about my fanboy status...

Like you said your parameters for YOU are refinement for me its the acceleration and the handling...

So do you get your orgasms on your dull boring Unicorn\Shine, which has loads of refinement but is insanely boring! or is it the clan of the Ditsy engine?

Oh call me a moron, but I could NEVER do a 180 on the RTR... would be great if you tell me how you did it!

Thats my last post to you... my signature is perfectly posied for ppl like you!
        thanks!
i am not offering my definition of 'character'. merely pointing out the (repeated) erroneous use of the word. why has this discussion broken down into 'parameters' of opinion when we should be talking about the whole bike as a package? did you pay separately for performance when i spent more on the comfort part ?

the 180 was done on a ZRX-1200R in muscat.

oh, and your signature is just brilliant. what are you, 14 ? lol

we all say that its a character of RTR .. do you think that we are D#^*#&%)( ???
we mean that we know thats a -ve in RTR but we have to compromise ..
we mean that sarcasticly .. if you want to improve tvs then go to their head office and strip and shout out loud that """ IMPROVE !! YOU GUYS""" i am sure you will get REPLIES

mods .. sorry for such kind of trash ... but i am sure you understand our problem
        another mature individual ...

seriously, why compromise ? is tvs (or any other company for that matter) doing us a favour by taking our money and giving us a flawed product? it's high time we indians started to speak out. that's when the real change happens. not by sweeping it under the rug.

Julain There are various civil ways of disagreeing with someone & calling a moron is certainly not one of them, I suggest you mind your tone.

Yes the RTR has Vibes problem, but then read this also.

Like I said earlier I have owned(bought) the P180 DTSi V1,ZMA, RTR, Classic p150(Bro's) & have not found any bike to be perfect all have some or the other problem, all the bikes have there pro's & cons. in an Ownership thread the idea is to realize which ones are problems that can be rectified at the time of service & which ones are common in RTR so that a new member doesnt panic.
I understand now that what these guys meant is that vibes are common to all rtrs but i guess they shouldnt have used the 'char...' word which would give the impression that people actually buy or ride the rtr to experience the vibes firsthand. again, i repeat, just because it's common doesn't mean that we condone it by saying "aww tvs, that's ok. i don't care if my pillions want to jump off the bike at 80. thanks for accepting my money and giving me a fast bike." also, new buyers should know what's in store. what if someone's buying it just to drop a family member off somewhere on a daily basis or something like that?

all products have defects, this is the RTR's. please dont call it character.

I'm gonna go tear that word out of my dictionary now ....

peace to all and sorry if anyone was offended. duh !!

+100 for the statement marked in bold Julian. I am in the market for a bike and I am weighing my options between RTR Fi & R-15. So I am following this thread.

I absolutely apreciate your tone. No harm in calling spade a spade. And I am glad moderators of this forum are mature enough to allow dissent.
