Hey guys i have doubt...this is for those persons who stay in bangalore....i bought my bike from attibele showroom(balakrishna tvs)...now that im staying in koramangala i thought of doing my bike service(1st service) from nearby tvs service station...recently i heard that tvs tristar in domlur is providing some express service which is nothing but they get ur bike serviced within one hour..they give priority to those bikes...only think is we have to buk it in advance...but the reputation of tvs tristar service is not that good...i could find a lot of complaints from net too (though the latest complaint was dated march /april of 2010)...i'm in dilemma whether i should do it from nearby place or from where i bought...i bought my bike on 4th of this month...already crossed 500km...planning to do by this week...could anyone suggest...those who have any personal experience with tristar service pls give ur valuable suggestions...---------------------------------------------------------------------------

You can service your bike at any dealer. The best for TVS service in Bangalore is BRIDGESTONE TVS located at Rajajinagar on Dr.Rajkumar road. Your 2nd option can be Megdooth service. My friend could'nt get proper service for his bike from Tristar. We both got our bikes around the same time(2.5 years ago). My RTR-EFI is being serviced at Megdooth in Ulsoor. I've been getting very good service from these guys.!!Originally posted by susheelkumar View PostHey guys i have doubt...this is for those persons who stay in bangalore....i bought my bike from attibele showroom(balakrishna tvs)...now that im staying in koramangala i thought of doing my bike service(1st service) from nearby tvs service station...recently i heard that tvs tristar in domlur is providing some express service which is nothing but they get ur bike serviced within one hour..they give priority to those bikes...only think is we have to buk it in advance...but the reputation of tvs tristar service is not that good...i could find a lot of complaints from net too (though the latest complaint was dated march /april of 2010)...i'm in dilemma whether i should do it from nearby place or from where i bought...i bought my bike on 4th of this month...already crossed 500km...planning to do by this week...could anyone suggest...those who have any personal experience with tristar service pls give ur valuable suggestions...
Why hurry for a service,& get it done in 1hr..?? where as its around 6-8 hrs at other places..!! Anything done in a hurry is a waste.. May be Tristar is trying all these to attract customers for service..!!
The optimum idling can vary between 1200-1400..!! Yours is fine.!!Originally posted by susheelkumar View Posthey guys...what is the optimum idling rpm for 160cc??...as of now its 1200 in my bike...

Do you guys suffer from leaking petrol tank lid rubber too??
I bought a new one and fitted but still the bloody thing leaks.
this is a great contributor in my tank rusting.
Just check by pouring a mugfull of water or while washing.Last edited by rennycornelius; 12-20-2010, 03:59 PM.The Magician"

i think in rainy season after riding apache you will be more worried about bike being stable on road more than water getting thrown from tyres to passer by
besides in my rear drum brake model got a bigger mud guard so its of use in rain season , there s no tyre hugger as in Pulsars so all insides are muddy now hard time to clean those

Yeah i will let u know if i go there..but probably i might go to where i bought it (balakrishna tvs @ attibele)...only issue is its quite far for me as i stay in koramangala...but i stil believe they are much better...u might get hi-fi stuffs in bangalore but also u can get cheated away easily...but as this showroom is nearby the tvs factory i believe they will be more truthful to their work...moreover petrol tank is currently having around 6 liters...if i give now u cant expect the same when u get it bck...Originally posted by kantu View PostLet me know about your experience in Bridgestone if you are going , i need to go for my 2nd service , not satisfied with Ashwa in 100 Ft Road ,Padmanabhanagar .
